Kent Kings 2014

A well-known name seems to be off-line at the moment in regard to Kent Kings information, His definitive comments are sadly missed. :approve:

Not sure who you're referring to John (especially after freezing my wotsits off at Scunthorpe and not getting to bed until 2am!) but if you want a full report of the Kings win yesterday theres a full report on the club's website I see.

To the 'missing KK poster': "will ye nae come back again?" Where are you, where have you been? We need the cut-and-thrust of your comments to keep us from becoming complacent.

What have Kings got to be complacent about ?, I think anyone expecting Kings to take the points this afternoon, will have got a dose of reality, yes Play Off contenders Champions ? that depends very much on Brandon Freemantle getting fit, and staying fit, without him weak at reserve, After Simon and Ben, your other riders are a little inconsistent.

My 'complacent' reference was not in regard to the Kent Kings as a team but the fact that a much respected message Poster has disappeared from regular debates and nobody seems to have noticed that or to name him and query where he has gone and why.

Just for the record - and any observations - this is the latest Kent Kings result as per the website:

Sunday, April 6, 2014:

RESULT and scorers from Sunday's National Trophy match at the Jordan Road Surfacing Stadium:

LEICESTER 57: James Sarjeant 14, Oliver Greenwood 12+2, Max Clegg 8+2, Tom Perry 7, Dan Greenwood 6+2, James Shanes 6+1, Tom Woolley 4+1.
KENT 38: Simon Lambert 14, Ben Morley 10, Benji Compton 6, David Mason 4, Luke Chessell 2, Luke Harris 2, Dan Blake 0.

For a full report on yesterday's match at Leicester and picture, go to the club's website at: http://www.kentkings.co/ and also read about Simon Lambert's Bronze Helmet defence.

There's a small mistake in the Kent riders' scores shown in the posting above in that Benji scored 6+1.

Simon Lambert's 14 included a Tactical Ride win i.e. 6 points and Ben Morley's 10 point tally included a 4 point score in his TR.

I fail to understand why Adam Kirby was not persevered with. To some degree Daniel Blake is an unknown currently. Again Luke Harris must have been on the radar given he has been used a couple of times. Are these early meetings being used to see who best suits the bottom end of the Kings team?

Looks like a reserve spot has already opened up - I wonder if Luke Harris will be slotted straight in?

Hopefully it will be Luke Harris far more potential than Blake,, could be a blessing in disguise for Kings ... I havebeen away on holiday, has anyone got an update on Brandon Freemantle??

Luke Harris to ride the next two fixtures & Danny Ayres to ride the two after that. Both looked quick & comfortable in P&P yesterday. Think they can both score some good points this season.

Got a good feeling about this season, should definitely make the play-offs, and anything can happen after that.

Think the numbers of riders was about giving some lads the opportunity to show their ability and to go for the final team spot.

At the fans forum Len made his statement re:inclusion of shared team spot. Believe Luke has issues about making Mondays earlier start.

No doubt the final decision will be made at the later date.
