DavyH
Here's my thoughts from the totally unbiased ever Monarchs Chatzone First of all, Well Done to Somerset on becoming Champions although in many eyes they were already champs! Well Done too to the depleted Monarchs on a brave performance. What a season it's been for us - The pleasure of watching Cookie being top PL man again, Captain Deek being so inspirational at times, watching the emergence of not only a great rider but such a friendly respectable young Aussie that is Max. Great rides from Theo despite his injuries and illness at times, Claus for coming in at the last minute and battling like hell and Joe for so many entertaining moments, get well soon! Thanks too for all the guys at reserve who contributed so well, Marcel, it didn't work out, Mitchell, love to see him back, Josh, injury robbed us of a star and Liam for some great performances. As others have said, there was a real improvement on friday nights at the Dale, the promorion deserve thanks too. Back to Somerset - I've been fortunate enough to visit the OTA many times since they came into CL/NL leagues as I have family near the track, they thoroughly deserve this success for all the hard work they have put in both on and off track.
scotchopper
Well done Somerset well deserved. Gutted that we couldn't quite do it and unfortunately that heat 9 on friday had a say in the shake up as wee joe would would have done better in ht14 at home and first 3 rides tonight. Unfortunately that is the way it goes sometimes. Get well soon wee man, hopefully see you in the blue and gold again next year.
Soul Crew
Well first ever visit to the Oaktree, great little set up and congratulations to the Rebels and more importantly both sets of riders for going out there and racing on a night when it rider power could have caused a postponement. Only negatives for me was the lack of stewarding, some serious idiots on the back straight especially the plonker who felt the need to climb up the fence to use unrepeatable language and gestures. And the car park...wow I was warned it was a field but still wasn't quite prepared! And finally the presentation, this is the pinnacle of the PL season and you have got some bloke in wellies hardly saying anything?! It just goes to show what a professional announcer can add to a meeting, as much as Porky at Wolves is annoying he keeps the chat going during breaks and keeps things happening, good job the two minutes were straight on. Also had interesting conversation at turnstiles about re admission policy, the two youngsters didn't know one exsisted oops. Looking forward to coming back down next summer though, a proper race track.
Willowman
Congratulations to the Rebels on such a magnificent season. I'm sure if Doyley had been in the Fours we would have had that one too. What is really pleasing in my mind is that Somerset have done it in a steady manner mostly improving year on year. After the team announcement I think it was in everyones minds that this would possibly be Somerset's best chance if they managed to stay clear of injuries and with a bit of luck on their side, and so it has proved. A big congratulations must also go to Edinburgh who certainly made it very hard for us. The conditions last night certainly played into the hands of the Monarchs and it could have so easily gone their way. I would have thought the outcome would have been much more predictable had the track been as per usual but hey-ho, there you go, we will never know. It is a testament to the club and supporters that not only did they appear at all in 2013 but that they also gave us many brilliant meetings over the course of the season. Somerset certainly know what it feels like to be runners up so chins up in readiness for 2014.

Well well well, Nick Morris has certainly done one...or maybe two or three over the Monarch's during his short career thus far. You obviously weren't one of the Monarch's fans singing his praises last night, amongst the quotes were "Do you know that statistically you are the best ever visiting rider at Armadale" but lets forget the facts eh. At least the mmajority saw the incidenet for what it was...the rest...well they can do one...hahahaha

Looking forward to coming back down next summer though, a proper race track. Glad you thought the track was good Mr. Sensible. For me it is easily the best along with Peterborough. The idiot you mentioned unfortunately often does this as soon as a home rider goes down. He charges to the front 'effing' and 'jeffing' at the opposition rider who he instantly finds guilty of foul play. This is in front of small children and families. He has absolutely no shame. On one occasion I told him to calm down, but was met with some colourful language also. On a positive note, the Rebels are worthy champions. They are a fine side and an extremely competitive bunch of lads. Doyley has led them superbly well. This will no doubt be his final season doubling up as he is Swindon bound in 2014. I reckon however, that the majority of the team can be retained, with the likes of Josh, Morris, and Davies taking the heat leaders role and Kyle Newman and Charles Wright in the 'engine room'. oldtimer
Good to see Chris Holder in the club house, and from the outside, looking fit and well. Some funny interviews from Roscoe and the local Mayor said there would be an open top bus touring the surrounding area (presumably with riders) leaving the Oak Tree about 2pm on Friday, although exact details not yet finalised. Lastly, Bish and Debbie would make a lovely couple.
A ORLOV
The Rebels are being shown on BBC West news between now and 7pm. Well done to whoever got this exposure. Sorry to post on both threads but you may only be reading this one.
