Under current circumstances you couldn't call Glasgow Tigers Fastbuck!

I don't think the weather is going to play ball, which will be a dam shame for both clubs..

Just can't believe none of the Somerset fans either started this thread or commented on it. Their biggest weekend of the season... not good.

Im a jealous Witches fan looking out of my window and blue sky and sunshine - wouldve been a perfect day for a play off final here in Ipswich today!!

Best of luck to both sides - whoever wins will deserve it because they have done the business when it mattered most.

I think the Monarchs need at least 10 points advantage to put the pressure on.

Gotta fancy the Rebels overall bit you never know!

Hopefully it wont be the weather that has the final say.

I will say one thing with my Rebels hat on. There is no way, if the weather intervienes this weekend the Rebels settle for the first leg, by right, they get the second leg. There is talk, of Edinbourgh staging there leg on the Saturday night, if posible, and if, the forcast is right for Monday then it will be touch and go for Somersets home leg.

If that is the case, then Edinbourgh should run Friday week, and the Rebels run Monday week, everything being equal.. Thats just my guess, but whatever happens Somerset should finish with the second leg, no questions..

Again with my Rebels hat on, i really do hope that the Rebels win over the two legs, it will be compensation for Garry Bish and the Hancocks for last year, losing to a last race decider. But, it will not be a walk in the park, and if they want it, they are going to have to work for it, there will be no short cuts.. Best of luck to both clubs..

Well unless they extend the cut off date by posibly 4 days there could be a small problem. If Edinbourgh is called off friday and they can't run Saturday, and with the forcast for Monday Dire, what a farce its going to become, for two teams who have the right after fighting their ways to this position after 8 months to finish this properly ..

Which is why , if we continue with play-offs , we must start the league programme at the beginning of April and have the cut off date at the end of August . The play-offs can be contested during the month of September , with the League Cup as an end of season tournament . To have the title decided on weather affected tracks at the fag end of the season is ludicrous . Actually play-offs were un-necessary this year because we had an exciting end to the league campaign between 4 or 5 clubs anyway . If both legs of the final are washed out this weekend , Somerset should be declared champions as they topped the league .

Couldn't agree more with your first point mate. You should have maybe a couple of challenges to give the boys a good blow middle end of march, then straight into the league programme. This should also apply to the EL.

I do feel the play off's are a must, as they do bring in good revenue for the clubs involved, but i do feel the PL play off's need to be re-structured. They are to long winded..

Personally I'd scrap the League Cup and truncate the season to start in April and finish by September.

Agree if both legs are cancelled, or it is an aggregate draw, that Somerset should be champions on the basis of superior position in league table.

However if only one leg is completed, the winner of that contest, should be declared Champions.

BTW the weather for tomorrow might not be as bad as earlier predicted.

The online weather forecast site, yr.no, is predicting minimal rainfall in the Armadale area between 2pm - 9pm on Friday.
