Islander15
He rode for Stoke last year? ;-/ But didn't ride enough meetings to get a new average.

TMW
But didn't ride enough meetings to get a new average. But surely if he rode on that average how ever many meetings it would be 'current'.
Islander15
But surely if he rode on that average how ever many meetings it would be 'current'. Â I'm not 100% sure on the subject, just I remember reading something in last years laws that if you didn't achieve (ie ride enough meetings that season to get a 'new' average) in the last 2 seasons then you used your converted PL average. I stand to be corrected... Jayne?
proud panther
Heard last night at Dudley that Jake Knight had retired again. Hope its not true because he still has enough talent to be a steady PL rider in my opinion.

Banani
That would be a complete and utter joke if Simon Lambert comes in on 5 point average.

proud panther
Thanks for the good news Greg. Think he was unlucky to be in a team that was struggling & under pressure to make changes. When he is in full flow he is very entertaining to watch. Hope he recharges his batteries over the winter, & comes back fully commited. Baldy
That would be a complete and utter joke if Simon Lambert comes in on 5 point average. Too right. I stopped going to Stoke after he came back mid/late season. Went to one meeting early season this year and thought that this league is clogged with riders that should not be in the league at both ends of teams and stopped going. Revolution in working out averages and of ability of riders racing each other to get me back into a sport I dearly miss. Too many races with the last finishing rider(s) 1/2 - 3/4 a lap behind the winner. I would pay to watch racing but not procession in 90% of races.
waco
You have a point Steeplejack the standard of the top end riders in the National league was very high this year ,and the bottom ends mostly very low..Unfortunately this league being what it is ,this is bound to happen...Having said that many teams in the Elite and Premier had the same problem ,and i agree it does not make for good close racing Edited November 7, 2013 by waco
mouncers monkeymask
whats a rider to do then if he can't get a premier league reserve spot but wants to keep racing ? if riders like Simon want to keep racing they should be allowed to race in the NL happens a lot over the years that because of the averages they're forced to pack in

em1500uk
I would imagine we'll see Lewis Rose, Darren Mallett and Josh Bailey in the team and possibly Jake Knight. As for the rest, they're anyone's guess! I think Bailey in particular looks to have a bright future ahead of him, so I hope he's taken on board for a full season. Might as well give him a run out as that's what the NL is there for IMO. I'm sure Lewis Kerr said he wasn't interested in staying in the NL any longer on BBC Radio Norfolk at one of the meetings that was covered live at the end of the season? I think Robert Lambert may well have given a similar answer, so I can't see either of them making a return in 2014.
