Newcastle Speedway

Recommended Posts

I'd like to say a big thank you to all at Newcastle speedway, from the promoters to the speedway fan's - I've enjoyed my speedway season. A special thanks must go to the "Crazy Gang" on the pits corner, we've cheered, we've groaned, we've laughed and we've moaned (at times) But those guys have made it a memorable season for me. Things didn't always go as we would have liked, but heh ho that's speedway. Most weeks we were joined by our friends from Newcastle, Redcar/Teesside, sometimes Berwick or Workington etc. At the end of the meeting they would all shake hands and say "see you next time" Yes we were all winners - even though the Diamonds failed to win the league. But we'll all be back next year to sample more of the Brough Park experience.

Hear hear (although I happen to stand as far away as possible from the Crazy Gang whilst remaining in the stadium - no offence peeps, I've been a 4th bend viewer since 1975). Special thanks to the ladies in the teashop who are always smiling.

I would like to associate myself with both of these Posts. It is great the way we 'Mackems' have been received by the Newcastle Supporters - we have made a lot of friends in our little corner.

Ladies who serve me Bovril each week were great too. A special mention for Joan English who was always welcoming when we arrived and the guy whose hand I shake and I don't even know his name.

Graeme and Mathew on the 'Live' Updates and the Posters - great craic.

I do love it.

But next year - ?????????????????????????? I just don't know.

Only that doesn't work for me.................................................................

I have managed to send a Message on Internet Explorer. So far I have been hopping around from IE to Google to Firefox to try to get things to work.
