DutchGrasstrack
Wondered why Bangma was tootling around at the back. You've answered that. I still think Ruben and Dirk are two to watch though, they both impressed me both times Ive seen them. I got the impression that Johnny was happy to lend them bikes. I understand Dirk rides in Berlin next weekend, so that should be interesting and it's a pity I have to earn otherwise I'd be there. Yeah Bangma was not happy, he only did half of the practice as well. To keep him going, a big ice speedway fan (Fedde de Boer) started a crowd funding page on Facebook. Bangma invested alot of his own money to buy his own bike which was completly written off after his crash. At the moment a total of 800 euros has been collected plus he will get support from a few companies (including the Dutch federation and Icespeedway Assen). Hope to see Dirk in Berlin (I did hear though that he could not go, but not 100% sure)!

iris123
Bit of a dodgy weekend in Berlin. Only 1,500 on saturday and i'd say even less today.Poor weather and the loss of Bauer + Zorn probably played a part.Ticket prices i guess also in the equation Antti it seems has broken a few ribs and his season is finished Main plus point for me was the fighting display in the German Final and also today from Hans Weber Edited March 17, 2014 by iris123
DutchGrasstrack
Crazy ticket prizes if you ask me... 30 euros for a standing place is way too much lol. Drinks and food were not allowed, even a coffee can was taken away from an angry German fan. They also took my Red Bull cans of me because they were 'dangerous'.... Wonder what they will do next year. Hans Weber was awesome. He can't gate, but he can overtake! Would be cool if he gets the Inzell wildcard Heard Sven Holstein will replace Antti Aakko in Inzell. Ghostwalker
I think there is a decent chance that the ice racing event in Hallstavik will be able to go ahead, judging by current weather forecast. Of the next 10 days, only one day is forecasted to have temperatures above zero degrees Celsius. If the forecasts will be correct I think that they will be able to hold the qualifier at Hallstavik. http://www.smhi.se/vadret#ort=2708426,Hallstavik,Norrt%C3%A4lje,Sverige,60.05/18.6;flik=

For the nearest 10 days the temperature is expected to be both above and below zero. According to the article linked below substantial subzero temperatures is required for the ice to build/freeze fast enough. They say that they expect to know pretty good in the upcoming weekend if it looks doable or not. http://norrteljetidning.se/sport/1.2778751-vm-kvalet-i-isracing-flyttas-fram Edited January 5, 2015 by Ghostwalker
