Tsunami
Potential to improve?!?! How long have these riders been kicking around on the averages they're on. Obviously it's only down on paper at the moment but Brum look abysmal I think the poster is taking the urine in view of his history with Brum.

foreverblue
No weak links!! 1. No out and out number 1 2. No rider that can significantly increase their avearge 3. Not the best reserve pairing but may not be the worse either. Either way alot of the better teams also have better reserves i.e Garrity at Coventry, Kerr at Kings Lynn etcc After last season playoffs are never on , its all about building a side that can stem the losses of the last two years. My hope for this year is 7th/8th place and to have a decent home record, whilst at the same time having a better year off the track. Alot will depend on the last signing for that to happen. You didnt have a number 1 last season and you did ok! Edited January 16, 2014 by foreverblue
SteveLyric2
Challenging for anything!! There is only one thing to challenge for---and when are you people gonna get it Poole will always find a way to wangle the the title;whole sport is a joke!! Might as well just go along enjoy the racing and not bother too much about league position because it doesn't really matter as long as everything is ok in Poole Land. OOoh someone is still smarting......?! Home and away defeats in the 2013 play-off final, too much to take was it?! Nothing 'wangled' there nor in 2012 when Poole lost!! Yes after watching the sport since 1978 last year was the final straw for me and i won't be doing any speedway in this country apart from an annual trip to Glasgow--so i hope you remain happy in "Poole Land" :-)

But you're right, for Poole that barely registers on the Fraud-meter.
T.N.T.
Great signing with Adam Skornicki as a second string and with a few easier races, he should soon relegate Barker or Kennett to that position and if the final rider can get points on a regular basis, Brummies wont have many last places in a meeting and that means a tight scoreline. Nico Covatti may be the most likely signing but as Magnus Zetterstrom, Ales Dryml, Timo Lahti, Norbert Kosuich and dare I say it ...... Robert Misk0000wiak all fit

Either that or he's a besotted teenage girl with pictures of Matt Ford on his bedroom wall.

T.N.T.
It would be a mistake to under estimate what a solid built team like Birmngham can do. If they got Daniel Nermark 5.27 as their final rider, they would have some races with Skornicki and Nermark against the opposing second strings and reserves and should take heat advantages in most of those. When those two get new averages, Barker and Kennett will probably have those races, so where they may lose points at the top end, they will gain in other races but the whole season really looks to be determined on which team has the two reserves that can score well. Take Wolves for example, in Morris and Jacobs they have two reserves that can win both reserve races with 5-1's If they can pick up points in their other two races, they will be looking at 14-16 points a meeting and that could be a match winner even if the top five dont score as first thought. If Woffinden gets 13, then Pawlicki, Proctor, Wells and Thorssell would only have to score 19 points between them to get 46 and that includes four races where Wells and Thorssell will be against reserves. I'm not saying Wolves are going to win the title, but like Birmingham they may not look the strongest, but they have strength in depth and that could suprise a few while the top heavy teams could be too weak in certain areas. Personally I think there isnt really one weak team this season and it's hard to see who will be battling (with Coventry to avoid the wooden spoon

I can't see a weaker declared team in the league. Danny (can't stay on for four laps) King as a number 1 will get smoked against other number 1s, Barker and Kennett didn't do great as second strings last year so what makes anyone think that they will do better as heat leaders - especially against a top heavy team like Kings Lynn. Skornicki could be a trump card and may find himself at number 1 before too long - and who would sign Skornicki as a number 1? The strength in depth obviously worked last year but not with this team - who is going to be a revelation like Smoli (going from reserve to number 1) - the same Smoli that made himself unemployable with that average! Can't see anything but a season of struggle to avoid the wooden spoon.
