Brummie Boy
Luty next? He's gone now! Another day, another resignation. Look on the bright side, if enough of the trouble makers leave perhaps King and Morris might consider returning. Really depends on how much money is going to be put in the kitty for team building. Drury waiting to hear ho much he has available to build a team. Rumours are current owners looking for a buyer or someone to operate on a lease basis........some hope in the current economic climate! stevebrum
I suspect your right, but with story and counter story I could never be sure. It's never nice to have people leave like this but sometimes painful decisions have to be made for the greater good, namely the continued existence and wellbeing of Birmingham Speedway. Hopefully the Birmingham fans will get good news soon. Any thoughts on who might be coming in to fill the missing gaps?
Mini Jack
Hopefully the Birmingham fans will get good news soon. Any thoughts on who might be coming in to fill the missing gaps? It is quite obvious with the bad press that has been thrown around at present that a new owner is unlikely. Someone who knows the ropes it is then... SGP
WITH Luty gone, and now the commercial manager it seems, there isn't much 'management' left. One can only ponder on the next direction. Edited November 20, 2013 by SGP
TonyE
Which riders would be 'interested' in signing for the Brummies given all that is going on? Whoever is in charge may have real difficulty in putting a squad together considering the goings on (including financial issues) over the last few months. Woz01
Hope Brummies will run next year and name a competitive side. Id guess Barker and Covatti will be nailed on and Kennett could be a option along with Klindt. Just a number one with a whats left.

Can someone tell me who actually are the owners of the Brummies? I "think" Alan Phillips and Chris Luty joint own it, despite having walked away, I don't think Chris Luty has sold his stake in it however, so presumably unless the situation changes again, only Phillips will be actively involved. Clear as mud, but if it works...

Nigel
I am little concerned as I have not seen anything official about the comm managers resignation, have we been led up the path by mischief makers? According to the Brum Mail Luty has rescinded his promoters licence and does not want any involvement with Speedway!..... so you can be certain he is looking for a buyer. I have been informed that the riders are still owed money for the last few meetings... if true? is this the real issue and why King wants out? is the Joe Mac issue a red herring? I see Patch has left Swindon allegedly owing a lot of money, not surprising, and it is also alleged he still owes Brummies a considerable sum.
