Pirate Nick
I do still believe Workington will win nothing, yes - Why in your mind you thought us signing Ty Proctor would effect that, I don't know. Given the amount of money they've splashed out on the team this year I'd be very disappointed if they don't win anything this year if I was a Worky fan.

Starman2006
There you are . Now do you still think Josh will win nothing with Workington. Lets start with 3 league points when the Comets visit the Oak Tree Arena We'l see. Don't count your Horses, as Rosco would say... So the dust has settled and it`s Proctor for Doyley. If he can replicate the form he was showing when he got injured the Rebels may be ok. Ty Proctor - Hardest job of all following the Somerset icon that Doyle has become. Ty's a good signing to replace Doyley, he's still improving, and although Doyley was always Somersets benchmark, Ty will do just as good overall, save for injuries, and he will be you No 1... So when he is missing Gary can use a guest. Nothing wrong with that. I still say Somerset will be there or there abouts come October. Proctor is a gd rider we had him at plymouth last season but he will not be the force doyle was however quite happy to have newman and hopefully davies in exchange for todd kurts and proctor cant understand why the rebels have completely dismantled last seasons team only needed one or two changes to accomadate brady maybe cost cutting i suppose seems the only logical reason Some changes had to be made, and some were taken out of the promotions hands. Big Al
Lets hope they do, Somerset would be silly to let them go Indeed!
oldtimer
Unfortunately I think crowds will drop at Oak Tree this year, people will turn up at start of season to see Brady, but if he does not perform, it will be difficult to gather much enthusiasm for this team after last years success. I cannot see myself cheering Olly or Todd as they try to overtake Josh or Kyle, or Alex or Nick (if he gets a double up club) when they visit the Oak Tree. Not Somerset's fault just the way speedway is run. The League this year will also be more of a farce than last season, not content with double tacticals in Play Offs, we now have teams choosing two other teams to play, destroying all credibility in the league. Pirate Nick
Yes it's in the town. Shares the stadium with the rugby club. Nice club bar, not enough wheelie bins though

Cliffeboy
I love the doom and gloom merchants, good supporters stick by their team whatever the results ( and being a Spurs fan I would know ).Good luck to the 2014 Rebels , I would love it if we were to get some silverware this season against the odds. At least it looks like we will not be carrying the burden before a wheel has been turned of being the favourites for the title as we have done for the last two seasons. Thanks Jason,Nick,Josh,Alex,Kyle,Stefan,Tom,Oliver and Lewis for an unforgettable 2013, I`m sure there will be a warm welcome for you all if and when you return to the OTA. Come on Ty,Todd,Pontus,Brady, Olly, Charles and Paul. "Still proud to be a Rebel". Edited February 6, 2014 by Cliffeboy

Heard a similar thing myself - chequebook Speedway of the highest order. how can it be chequebook speedway when the entry fee at worky was only 13 pounds and a free race card. so that means that worky have one of the biggest group of supporters going through the gates. . or we have a VERY rich owner who is speedway fan/.get over the doyle thing and be prepared for some BIG losses along the wat.. doyle should never have been allowed to ride pl as he was signed this year as a no 1 in the el.. come on the revels.. jenga
i have yes in the middle of blinking nowhere the track is!!!! think you will find the track in the town and in walking distance of the usual things that towns have. it is possible you were at north side training track by mistake. but even the training track has more going for it than the sommerset track.remind me again. where is the rebels track again. oh. i know. its in a FIELD.

And is one of the best tracks in the country, with a great clubhouse and good food. Easily accessible from the M5 and very popular with visiting supporters.
