Tsunami
Probably the BSPA if you read the Somerset account of what happened as they were led to believe Brady was coming in on a three, which apparently was what his parents thought aswell. If you are interested in apportioning blame then surely it is there. There is an excellent explanation of the whole saga on the Rebels website. "IF" Nick were to return Somerset would be allowed a guest for these fixtures I think, rather than having to cover with r/r, as he would then be our No 1. Surely this would have been the prime reason why Garry decided to drop Nick instead of Allen.
Pirate Nick
Surely this would have been the prime reason why Garry decided to drop Nick instead of Allen. Looking at the line up, if JD makes it over, Somerset would have a line up where they take priority with all their riders in the event of a fixture clash. So I'd say you are right.
womble53
As far as I can see Nick would miss 8 meetings they are: April: 1 Away v Ipswich & 2 Home meetings v Plymouth & v Rye House May: 1 Away v Redcar June:1 Away v Plymouth July: 1 Home v Workington August: 1 Away v Sheffield & 1 Home v Rye House Think you'll find that those fixtures only scratch the surface when you factor in possible World U21 individuals, and U21 SWC fixtures. You could be looking at almost double that figure

Najjer
How do you know he wasn't wanted? I don't - hence my post starting with "begs the question" in the hope someone would be able to provide me with an answer.

Willowman
You're right there Much to Somerset's loss in my opinion. Josh was bit of a gamble last year which worked out particularly well. After it was rumoured that Doyley would not be riding PL (before the vias fiasco) I would have been more than pleased with Nick and Josh as our heat leaders and base the remainder of the team around them. As it happens, perhaps it would have been a good move, although hindsight is a wonderful thing. Also may have been a non-starter if Josh did not want to stay, mores the pity. Perhaps it also revolved around his availability riding for Poole too? Hope Josh does well for you this year. Seems like the promotion are still working hard to resolve the Doyley visa problems but they may have to admit defeat sooner rather than later so as to implement a salvage scheme. Been okay had he been Bulgarian or Romanian and begging on the streets - would have been welcomed into the country with open arms!!
Najjer
Believe it was Josh's choice to leave not Somersets Thanks for clearing that up - I'd assume as already suggested on here, because of his other commitements. The worst part is, after the most successful season we could now potentially be looking to go into the following season with 1 rider from the previous years team, and not one of the top 3. oldtimer
Begs the question why he was even considered in the first place, and Grajczonek wasn't retained. Grajczonek could have stayed at Somerset but allegedly couldn't agree terms and had a better offer from Worky. Also at Worky he would be number one and not in the shadow of Doyle and Morris. Love this , you have the cheek to comment about other teams performances when yours is a bit if a joke at the min . No Doyle, egg on faces after Kurtz was given his second proper average (should be 7.00) . So if Golden Balls is treat the same as the other poor Aussies who haven't got visas ie. Davies and Nelson , Somerset could be facing a pretty average season. See ya in the Pairs where Josh / Kyle,Rene,Ricky can take the honours without the help of a tractor )))) . #WE BELIEVE.
