nboy
congratulations and respect to Poole. cant see what all the fuss is about if P Offs are the rule, they were simply the stronger team at the end of the season. my team, Lakeside, always seem to consistently fall off at the end. still think it should be winner takes all personally. perhaps without TV next year it will revert to such.
DiamondsRock
Hearty congratulations, and every best wish to all at Poole Speedway tonight. Didn't think that they would make the playoffs this year, but Ford turned the team round, and put together a cracking side. Well deserved champions!

hrhbig
A thoroughly depressing night, wasn't really up for it before but still made the effort to go just in case, but it was flat from the off and the racing was terrible, the whole evening was just like waiting on death row for the inevitable. Despite everything that has gone on in the Elite League this year I'd maintained a fair bit of enthusiasm for this season and the next, but a lot of that was sucked out of me tonight, seeing that tosser Ford jumping around on the track really made it hit home what has actually happened. I can only hope that the winter brings the radical change that is required, but I haven't got my hopes up. Poole, undeniably the best team in the playoffs, but still a despicable club. Proud of our efforts this season but it's no surprise we fell short at the final hurdle, will fondly remember the Peterborough away meeting and the first leg of the semi at Wolves this season, they were what domestic speedway should be about. Winning is memorable
Steve Shovlar
Just got in, well actually floated all the way back. Fabulous. Brilliant, fantastic. A joyous night at Brum this evening and it was brilliant celebrating with over 500 fellow Pirates fans who basically took over the stadium tonight. Brum fans were silent from the off and Poole just mullered them. What can you say about our fantastic club? We are Poole, we never give in. It was so great to see Matt, Middlo and the boys celebrating our stupendous season at the end. Such happy days! Commiserations to Brum who were found wanting when it mattered. Hope Danny King is OK, took a right purler. And not. No cheering on the fall from any Poole fan. Gasps were audible. Post some more tomorrow but it's late. Krug now in the fridge for tomorrow nights party celebrations at Wimborne Road ( weather permitting!) PS some very sour comments from the usual suspects. Hoe they choke on their cornflakes tomorrow. Happy days!

Poole Quay 7
Surely, the most hollow league victory in the history of our sport. Anyone that is happy with the plethora of Poole Speedway Clubs' antics throughout this season, clearly condones cheating, lying and deceit. And that says as much about YOU as it does Fraud & lap-dog. Absolutely shameless - a despicable promotion that is truly below contempt. That win was for all the poor attempts to snipe at Poole speedway plus the continuous slagging off you and the others have done all season! You have forced Poole fans backs against the wall, so just like the team, we came out fighting to defend our club - so do you seriously think the above pompous bile, plus all the other recycled sour grapes is even going to touch the sides!?....................Nah, of course not!! To the many decent speedway supporters that have congratulated Poole on here - and even those that didn't!.......Thank you and we wish you well in the team building etc at your respective clubs. The banter from you was enjoyable and thank you for not overstepping the line unlike the others who will continue the slagging off and poor attempts to dig away at us in every POOLE thread right through-out the winter Edited October 16, 2013 by Poole Quay 7
Starman2006
WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS MY FRIENDS, WE'L KEEP ON FIGHTING TO THE END, WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS, WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS, NO TIME FOR LOSERS CAUSE WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS, OF THE LEAGUE!!!! :approve: :approve: :approve: Nuff said But i will say congratulations to Birmingham who took the defeat gracefully. You've had a fantastic season, and don't anybody tell you otherwise.. And to all those Matt ford Bashers, keep bashing, the more you bash the harder we will try.. s Edited October 16, 2013 by Starman2006
Robinh88
Well done Poole, never gave in even after Holder's injury and Ward's they kept going. One thing I will say is Sayfutdinov as much I rate or rated him Darcy Ward I believe is something else. The consistant level of excellence he produces more or less week in week out. Poland, Sweden, Britain and the GP's leads me to think it will not be long until he is World Champion. Maybe not 2014? but I expect him to a World Champ more than once

Gavan
As much as I admire Hancock and he had been fantastic for Poole, I thought it was hilarious how much Pearson swooned over him. He scored 5 points he was poor last night yet all we got to hear was how brilliant he was! He came to the tapes for his third ride and even Tatum went he was in good form tonight he had 3 points! Those 2 are useless!
Bryce
Congratulations to Poole. Whatever anybody thinks of their way of doing things, or the play off system, the record books will show that the Pirates are the Champions of 2013. It should be remembered that whilst Poole snuck into the play offs and went on to beat the table topping side, they themselves have been on the receiving end of that equation twice in recent years, Their championship is no less valid than the Bees in 2010 or the Robins last year. I do not agree with everything Poole do, but I certainly wish my own team's promotion showed as much determination and desire to win as the Poole management.

dump that clutch
Knowing that the Brummies had their backs well and truly to the wall, having not seen the match last night, loosing Danny was a massive blow, but what the hell has the new GP star been doing... did he blow up his 650, and reverted back to his track spare.... Well done Poole, the strongest team in the play off's and didn't they show it. Roll on next season, let's see what the authorities dream up this time eh!! Absolutely shameless - a despicable promotion that is truly below contempt. I condone good riders on the track over 2 legs and that's what it's all about. the riders sorted out the result, not the off track tripe that is based on opinions that are like bums- everyone's got one. If people have concerns with the rules of the league, hammer away at officials to fix them, but don't add to the biased negativity on here A shame the Robin's didn't win but the Poole riders were better in the playoffs. Swindon will be back next year. Brummies will learn how to use the rules the best way they can, like Coventry, Swindon & Poole, then let their riders finish the job.. Steve0
As I said last week - congratulations Poole, commiserations Birmingham. Wasn't a great spectacle last night - unless you were a Poole fan, the track took away any home advantage and the racing was pretty poor. Hope Danny King is OK. I can understand the joy the Poole fans are feeling but Shovlar has proven, yet again, that he doesn't do humility. Having said that, I didn't expect anything else. The best team in the play-offs rightly won and they deserved it.
ruckerroo
commiserate brum on a good season but to be honest bar doyley they were bloody awful in both legs of the final. Well done to the pirates, once they wangled theyre way into the play offs there was no stopping them
