Birmingham V Poole Grand Final 2nd Leg

Recommended Posts

No surprise that Greg didn't bother trying once he won his league medal. Soon to disappear again.

:P

In all seriousness it was great to see Greg in the UK for part of a season - just a shame we cant supply an EL to be proud of with ALL the top boys here.

Small wonder there's such hatred for Poole with tools like you.

Basic fact is the Brummies choked when it mattered.

Let's face it, they just ran out of steam in the end. They've been riding above themselves all season and maybe could have done with a freshen up in the latter stages of the season, like a mystery injury or two, maybe a flu bug. Shame, just hope that the fans get to see the sport again in the city next year.

Congrats to all the Poole riders and team and the main man Mr Ford. We didn't beat them we thrashed over two legs. I am up 850 pounds which will be split between my two favorite charities . When ya live in Poole it's win, win, win. I will leave ya with two words, Ding Dong !!!! :-)

Surely at least a small bonus for young Kyle, The Know?!:t: He showed the new GP rider the best way around his own track!!

Birmingham performed brilliantly throughout the season, but in a play off situation, top end power will usually prevail and Poole have that in bucketloads with Ward and Hancock.

Congratulations to Poole, when they list Holder they didn't just use guests and see the season out, they signed Hancock and rejigged the team, and went for it.

Matt Ford is a very competitive guy who wants to win, he does it within the rules, uses them when he needs to (just like Coventry did in 2010 to keep Pawlicki at reserve).

The Brummies just ran out of steam but should be proud of their season.

Well what an achievement "I get knocked down and I get up again" comes to mind. To all who pulled on a Pirate race Jacket thank you.To make the playoffs was great to stand Elite League Champions at the end of the season is something else.:cheers::party:

Well really enjoyed that ,packed stadium & a cracking match. Eng 2 poland 0. What happened in the incredibly grand absolutely world class grand final ? Sorry I didn't watch it but for me this has been the most dire EL I can remember. Must be great to be a poole fan but for the rest of us a long winter awaits & our sport is in one hell of a mess

That's what they played when Danny got up and walked back to the pits. Very appropriate.

A great performance, especially through the season with injuries but got good replacements. A word for Brum who have been there all the season and performed way above others expectations. They even had bad luck on the night but they were never going to win, but still a great performance to get there. Decent performance from Bulldog Kyle.

Perhaps speedway just isn't the sport for you then Rob, not if you watched football instead.

Commiserations to Birmingham and their fans,it's not nice to finish top and miss out on the big one.

You have had a great season and should be proud of your efforts.

So the lightweights and also rans have done it.

Champions again  Never ever right off the pirates :approve:

Wrighto. :drink:

Yes it was nice to see the " Play-off lightweights " win ( another classic from the man who always gets it wrong......stevebrum )

Indeed - commiserations to the Birmingham Brummies.

lets just wait for the gloating shovlar to come on. congratulations to all Poole riders and the true Poole fans on here. Dorsetdelight. skidder. starman. theknow. foreverblue. yes you bent the rules to get in there and yes I dislike Ford but your team was the best in the play offs. To the idiotic mind numbing Poole fans Shovlar and that what seems to be a bigger plank in Hornblower. You don't know how to lose so I expect the usual crap from you 2

You use the words "speedway" and "sport" in the same sentence - don't really go together anymore unfortunately.
