weatherwatcher
Well done Poole. Not quite so easy in the second leg, but the track was a bit of a hand full. Fell for the Brumies though to win the legue then it all goes wrong in the knockouts. Danny King took a right tumble, so lucky that the bike missed him. Now all we have to wait and see is what November has in store at the AGM to find out the outcome for the 2014 season
jimmy jimmy
Was always a sense of Poole only having to turn up. A really disappointing effort for British speedway's domestic showpiece and again shows the sport in bad light for any first timers tempted by the blanket coverage in the media of Tai's win. Speedway playoffs are all about timing. There's a lot of foreplay leading up to it but the cream rises to the top when the serious shift begins. It was a lot better than Polands attempt at a Grand Final!! Smolinski has taken Holder's 2010 crown of worst number 1 in final! He has only taken two points off Poole. He was the main reason Birmingham got there in the first place, give him a break
ytsejam
Congratulations to Poole, deserved winners of the play offs. Nice to see Holder looking much better now too
Poole Quay 7
I just follow your lead as you are the master of trolling, likewise you can never help yourself either can you. It was a light hearted dig, but just saying what the vast majority of non Poole fans think. Yea that was another light hearted dig but of course its just Poole bashing or trolling in your words (perfectly exampled by 99% of Shovlar`s posts). You have to wonder why the usual blinkered Poole fans bite all the time, WUM? Some sort of Perry Barr code? What do you know about Perry Barr.......You didn't even go to your own teams semi-final play-off.....And then he criticises a Poole fan tonight for not " bothering to make the effort to support your team " I suppose the 6 mile trip all the way from Smethwick was a bit too much for him at the time. When he dishes it out it it's just " A light hearted dig "..........Hypocrite. Well done Poole Speedway. 2013 play-off winners And lets not forget the sporting Birmingham Brummies fans throughout the meeting and particularly at the end. Storming Norman
Congratulations to Poole on winning the EL. Poole's riders deserve a lot of credit for performing on the big occasions and when the pressure was really on. Poole’s championship win demonstrates how a shrewd Promoter can make a difference to on track results. Matt Ford’s idea and then skilful management of postponing the six pointer against Lakeside because Poole were under strength proved to be absolutely crucial in getting Poole into the Play Offs. Lakeside’s Jon Cook also deserves an honourable mention for not objecting to Poole postponing the match until they would be stronger - putting the good of speedway above his own club getting into the Play Offs. Well done also to the Poole fans who pack out the stadium - it always looks great on tv. Enjoy your success.

EnglishRoundabout
Like him (Ford) or loathe him, he comes up with the goods and produces excellent sides generally. Money does talk, and he is able to persuade the worlds best riders to come to this country for a short period of time to fill the gaps, because he is able to 'flash the cash'. He is able to do this because he has worked hard, it appears, in actually promoting the club. My club Swindon were league champions last year. An ideal opportunity to kick on and get in the faces of every big company in Wiltshire. And come to that, every school in Wiltshire wouldn't have been a bad idea! But what happens?? We have money problems!!! Quite unbelievable really. Can anyone see Matt Ford resting on his laurels after this seasons triumph? Not a chance. Personally, I don't know him and have never ever seen him, so I can't make a judgement. However, wherever there is controversy, Ford/Poole are not too far behind. Lets face it though, all winners are disliked. Whether it be jealousy or envy, it happens in all sports. Congrats to Poole, I wish my club were as successful to be honest. But please when all the sports 'promoters' meet this winter, lets make it a level playing field and try to make simple rules that cannot be manipulated 'in the interests of speedway'.

Custom House Kid
all I ask for sometimes is answers to some of the issues that pop up. trouble is shovlar just cant do that. he avoids all questions and then like a child storms off if he doesn't want to hear it. I get forceful because its people like him that don't help poole. As stevebrum says majority are fine. Now lets see if I get an attacking the poster comment back! I tend to be selective on what posts I view and respond to. We all have a choice and I tend to ignore posts from Mr Shovlar! So Poole won! First time I found any interest in finding out. Which must sum up the season for me!

Brummiestormer
They will be Champions again in 2014 as well; my association with British speedway is at an end after 36 years teams like Birmingham will never win anything--fed up of watching teams winning trophies at Birmingham. Can't see anything changing in British speedway to change my mind;morally and financially bankrupt---more trips to foreign tracks planned for next year;more fun and more beer

Brummiestormer
Did i mention Poland???? A few trips over there maybe actually;but i need to complete my Austrian tracks and there is actually speedway beyond "Little Britain" you know which as i said is morally and financially bankrupt and rotten to the core so why bother---just turn my foreign trips into mini holidays---and MORE BEER

I hope you enjoy your Austrian trips and the lager because they don't have beer as far as i know.
