CaptainAudi
I know nothing is finalised, but if the limit is still 42.5, and we could get the riders in this, then we would be solid. obviously I would love to be able to keep Cookie, but if its affects the rest of the team building, then we would have to say goodbye. (Same as with Fisher a couple years back) (Latest average in brackets) 1. Ricky Wells (7.81) 2. Max Fricke (5.80) 3. Andy Tully (7.44) 4. Joszef Tabaka (6.00) 5. Sam Masters (7.52) 6. Liam Carr (3.00) 7. 4.93 Reasons: Ricky: He is no Cookie, but still good around Armadale, can ride well away from home as well (higher away average than Sheffield average). Wether we could convince him up is another thing though, but he always tweets that he loves Edinburgh so here's hoping! Max: Would you be stupid enough not to keep him after his improvement this year!! Andrew: Had his year away and hasn't got the pressure of #1 this time, solid #3 for Newcastle. Joszef: Can only improve, yes he has off nights but still a solid second string most PL clubs would jump at the chance of signing. Sam: Was looking forward to seeing him last year, very solid HL and most likely to push for #1 in the first 2 months of season. Liam: Bags of potential and can improve vastly with a year in PL, can win heats home and away for us! You may disagree, but I think that would be a solid looking team, especially away from home. Mr Blobby
Don't know why we are talking about Edinburgh 2014 when we still have the 2013 season to finish! How about we leave making our fantasy teams till the season is finished at least

crescent girl
One name to disregard is Liam Carr. He is nailed on very firmly to be in Berwick's 2014 line-up.
Bagpuss
If Cook has any ambition at all he'll be nowhere near the PL in 2014.

LagutaRacingFan
I would prefer THJ over Cook, A better rider on a lower average.

Van Helsing
Could Kevin Wolbert come back into Edinburgh's plans? handy average to rebuild a team around. Exceptional around the Dale too.

Time for a new fishing rod. Cookie is a much better rider.

cyclone
If Cook has any ambition at all he'll be nowhere near the PL in 2014. Well the likes of Craig & Jason Doyle appear to be doing quite well in prospering in both the PL (which provides considerably more meetings than the EL) and the EL. They are both heat leader standard in the EL, having improved their EL averages whilst continuing to reap the benefit of a regular, uninterrupted racing schedule in the PL. Compare their situation to the likes of Lewis Bridger who rides only in the EL and the lower Polish League tier and whose career appears to have stagnated, As seems likely the Sky tv money will be shortly be disappearing from the EL, and any rider opting to abandon the PL for the EL exclusively, may well end up losing out financially. At the end of the day it is up to the individual rider to decide his destiny, and no doubt Craig will be counselled by those with better judgement than some blinkered internet pundit
Bagpuss
No doubt he will, and hopefully they will also advise him to move on from a league which he has dominated for two seasons and start racing regularly on the continent. Cook is Team GB's next big hope IMO, hopefully followed closely by Worrall, Kerr, Lambert and one or two others. I want to see him scoring heavily in the SWC and qualifying for the GP series and to do that he needs to leave his comfort zone and broaden his horizons. If that means starting in the lower reaches of Poland and Sweden and working his way up then so be it, at least he will be learning new tracks, set ups etc. Hopefully he makes the right choice for himself and British speedway, we all want to the same thing which is for him to maximise his huge potential. muirspud
Any news? If cook goes full time Elite and around continent, who will the Monarchs get for there number 1? Wolbert, Fisher, try again with Masters?

Cook has said himself he wants to double up again next year so don't think we need to worry about getting a new number
