Tsunami
That's interesting Tsunami. Can you explain please why I should make the comparison you suggest? Whenever I check a GP result the first names I look for are Tomasz Gollob and Emil Sayfutdinov. Charisma draws me to them. As a person Gollob has no charisma and dour. His riding can be exciting, but what when he sometimes cant be arsed to race. He is very frustrating and I think you over estimate his attraction. If you think Tai lacks something, then how do you view him against Havvy. Give me the nice personality that is Tai. He is a clean cut youngster who has won the WC fairly with some tremendous riding and racing this year. You don't get a better image in sports that Tai. Except for his tattoos and earrings mind.

Probably the biggest draw in speedway for 20 years bar none..
Tsunami
Probably the biggest draw in speedway for 20 years bar none.. IYO. Give me Rickardson anyday. Anyway, great and exciting racing doesn't give anyone personal charisma. [/color] What about Bradley Wiggins, Lewis Hamilton and Andy Murray? Gary Havelock is a patron of the charity National Association for Bikers with a Disability. ] All three of them are flawed in some ways with some sections of the public. Just cos Gary is a good guy in being a patron, doesn't give him charisma. Pretty obvious that. Edited October 9, 2013 by Tsunami
philfromcov
he does come across well i think, apart from the god awful tattoos and take your hat of young man, its not going to rain! its just nice to be able to be proud of UK speedway for a change rather than the constant going on and dodgy deals being done in the elite, which just makes you depressed.
rob tatum
Gollob is not charismatic but when he tries he is dynamite on the track. Havelock do me a favour he has the charisma of a tortoise. Tai is charismatic my 19 year old daughter thinks he is so that's good enough for me ,ok he isn't bruce penhall YET but this kid really could be a massive shot in the arm for speedway.

I'm beginning to think you could be right. I think he is a great advertisement for British Speedway. :approve:
