Leicester 2014 . Elite

Recommended Posts

I am not sure if Lassie will be able to make it at no.2. From what I remember of him riding in the EL he was pretty inconsistant. It would be nice to see him make the grade, with a few good meetings under his belt it could be the making of him.

He may even get to make a place in the GP's come a year or two's timje.

It seems like we will be having half a new Lions team by the middle of the season. With a bit of luck and a few more of the right riders, we should start to slowly move up the league table.

I was thinking that when I watched it as the shape looks pretty much the same.

................................................... and I don't think they chuck people in the tower of London anymore .

In this particular instance I sincerely wish they would, thereby leaving the whole speedway world indebted forever!!!

(not aimed at you Nightshift, but the individual to whom you were replying :-)

It is that time again just sit back and wait and see. We will all know by the end of the next couple of weeks no doubt.

Just wished they could just come out and tell everyone what was going on why all the secrets. It is more like being in the MI5 instead of being a speedway club. Where the fans pay to help keep the club afloat.

I am sure they should be more open and let thing know what is happening.

Why's everyone guessing? It is Artem Laguta.

Terms agreed, paperwork pending. He's struggled to get into the UK before so this could be the stumbling block.

How about because they don't know? You ask the question as if the answer's common knowledge. Appologies for not sharing your wisdom but this has made a change from posting about the BP track. ;)

Hope you're right......just been looking at his scores on speedwayresults.com, very rarely scores under double figures in the top polish and Swedish leagues.

Bet365 are 350/1 for Leicester to win the league; Just lumped £30 on them to win outright and that returns £10,530

So If Leicester win the league; I win over £20k but If they only reach the final; I'll earn £10k so It's like printing out money baby.

Can't believe the bookies haven't clocked onto the Laguta signing, this is why I love speedway

can't see Leicester getting to the play offs let alone winning it............the reserves don't score enough!

But isnt there going to be a change at reserve too? and TBH, with a top 3 of Doyle, Laguta and Mads you could be looking at the best part of 30 points a meeting, the second strings can get 6 each making 42, the reserves are guarantee 2 making 44. Leicester don't need the bottom 4 to do a lot to start winning meetings and if the other change at reserve being rumoured is true too they should be getting 8 and 9 out of him each meeting.

Bet 365s 350/1 is surely worth a £1 of anyones money is these changes do happen.

B ut what sort of average would Laguta be on - if he can get a visa? 7.00 would be fine - but if 8 then difficult to see how Mads can stay in the team unless Simon Stead makes way for a lower average rider. Let's hope a 7.0 average has been sanctioned! The rules seem to give the management committee some leeway with a Category 1 rider, but looks as if they use current average from other pro leagues to decide it.

Anybody know more?

Has Laguta ever rode tracks in England ? he maybe be flyin in Poland and Sweden but doesnt mean he would tare up the elite league.

I cant recall him riding here. Although he may well have ridden Cov or Kings Lynn in the World Cup?
