Leicester 2014 . Elite

Recommended Posts

Surely theres nobody out there on a 7 point average who could be considered good for British Speedway?! Only possible rider I can think would be a real coup on a 7ish average is Kolodziej.

I wouldn't think it would be a Pole for a Saturday night track though.

Smolinski ended 2013 with 7.56 by the look of it. No Polish commitments and Leicester don't usually have fixtures on GP weekends

Yeah but he doesn't quite (and thats an understatement) match the description given above! I doubt British Speedway would even notice if Smolinski rolled up next week.

Just lumped on £75 EW on Leicester to reach the EL Final at odds of 100/1 and It return £10,150.

This signing is going to cut Leicester's odds from 100/1 to 5/1, I advise everyone to STRONGLY JUMP on the odds now before the signing is announced. (Bet Victor is currently 100/1 but will change it shortly)

New Leicester Side

1. Jason Doyle

2. Lasse Bjerre

3. Mads Korneilussen

4. Simon Stead

5. NEW SIGNING

6. Tom Perry

7. Max Clegg

I have no idea how they have pulled this off, I thought Leicester were skint?

Why the hell didn't they do this at the start of the season?

From what I understand personal terms have been agreed with this proposed signing and he is happy to come but is just double checking European commitments and logistics before signing. Fingers crossed it will happen

Although it will make Leicester a lot stronger I am not so sure about Liam Gallagher fans bet for the title ,But if the new signing does come through and the information i have been given about a possible new fast track rider not currently on the list I can see Leicester climbing up the table and maybe taking points away from home. This is all of course subject to the BSPA approving any changes.

This signing If it happens turns Leicester into a top side, This rider had a Top 15 Polish Ekstraliga Average last year ahead of established Elite League riders like Darcy Ward and Troy Batchelor.

His current Polish league average is higher than Niels Kristian Iversen's who is regarded as the best rider in the Elite League, Darcy Ward and Peter Kildemand.

He turns Leicester into genuine title contenders, make no mistake about it and I look forward to collecting my winnings later on this year.

Think leicester need more than just one superstar to turn them into el finalists.

They have some tough away fixtures left and after saturday will be 8 points off the play offs, can't see it myself.

If he's someone who's never rode UK league before, presume he will be classed as a Category 1 rider and so will be given an assessed average which is based on current average in other professional league/s.

And If he's as good as you claim him to be, won't that average exceed the points that Leicester have available?

If it's somebody with a previous UK average, who is there with something under 7.65?

Also I wonder if this is going to be a short-term gimmick signing.

The only Ekstraliga riders (who don't ride EL) in last years top 15 and above Iversen this year are;

Jarek Hampel
Janusz Kolodziej (Last rode in 2007 for Reading, averaging 6.51)
Artem Laguta

Which is why they're now only accepting £5 e/w bets!

edit > Oh no, tried again and the trader allowed £10 e/w this time!

C'mon the Lions :D £10 e/w @ 100/1

Looking at possible non-Poles without previous UK averages, Vaculik might have a decent chance of getting assessed as 7.00/7.50 as he had a poor Poland season (about 5.00 ?) but that runs against other theories posted on here!

A.Laguta averaged about 8 in Poland last season - that would be more in line with LGF's claims - but how is he going to be given an assessed UK average of 7.5?

Sayfutdinov was given an assessed of 8 in 2011 for Cov - but as he only rode in 3 home matches didn't earn an official average although over his 9 matches averaged 7.5.

Otherwise we're back to Lindback and Smolinski, arn't we??
