We had 4th choice so we could have Steve Worrall Simon Lambert but we picked Tom Perry who had a shocking season last year. This meant we had 2nd pick in the 2nd round of selection with the following left. Joe Jacobs,Simon Lambert,Lee Smart,Dan Halsey,James Sarjeant,Ben Morley,Ben Hopwood,Daryl Ritchings , Dan Greenwood. We pick 3rd from bottom of the list Max Clegg someone who still rides in the MDL & gets beaten. Why did we not picked proven PL reserves like Jacobs, Lambert or Smart ????? This is a massive typical Leicester cock up to pick a rider who has lost all the potenial he had & an MDL standard rider. Leicester now need a big top 5 to cover the weakest reserves pairing in the league but sadly i feel we will have a cheap patched up side so nothing but the "Belle Vue" Wooden Spoon award Ok great another 6 months of you sticking the knifes into the young guys. Been busy for a couple of days , Trawling through old Leicester threads , Trying to find a post where Mrcts said something relevant to whatever was being debated , Sadly I didn't manage to find any , not even an attempt to voice an actual opinion just a myriad of jibes at anyone who did although I did find endless personal attacks , at one point I actually thought I had found something , only to have my hopes dashed when I realised it was just more blinkered rubbish of no substance ,I see you've been looking in the mirror again..........describes you to a tee! Might explain our stange reserve picks (no desrespect mean't to Perry and Clegg though i fear i'm about to join Lionking in the stocks for just pointing out the obvious!) and Yulia's bizarre statement about why we haven't signed anyone. If we end up with Havelock it would be a final confirmation of what everyone must already know about Leicester Speedway. Clueless doesn't even begin to explain it. Clueless doesn't even begin to explain it. well as some of you may have guessed from my previouse posts I tend to give promoters the benefit of the doubt and in the case of Leicester even more so considering the amount achieved in three short years. But..in a topic on Coventry I did raise the question if Havelock had been released of his duties as clearly his continued involvement there would work against anything the promoters were trying to do in terms of team building. Now I read that he could be coming to Leicester....Surely not...the man has no track record as a succesful team manger at this level...Perhaps Yula is thinking of the headline....Lions sign Speedway World Champion.... I hear Mike Lee's still free at the moment too though Mark Loram's hair is too big for him to get a helmet on anymore. Stekkers would want paying as would Havelock , speedway team managers are a luxury for the wealthy teams , I personally can't see what they do , the promoter chooses the team to fit their budget and to add up to a fixed number , throughout a meeting there are very few variables that a TM would need to make decisions on , and at Leicester Mrs Hemsley does the team talk and chooses the riders for heat 15 , so whats left that would be worth paying for anyway Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
