Chrall
Maybe all Max needs is a masterclass on gating, clutch set up and technique from one of Leicester's top five. I did see Peter Ljung helping him earlier in the season after a meeting. Given time I'm sure Max will be an excellent rider at this level and become a firm favourite with the fans. Go go Max! weatherwatcher
I saw a couple of riders on the first practice setion giving him advice on the start line and also talking to him and his machanic when he came out of the pits and he just came onto the track. I think the top 5 should spend a bit of time with him but with riders racing with so many differnt clubs over here and abroud. I don't think that they ever get a chance to practice together as a team. I would be a great help if they could all get together once a week at BP to practice together, but the way things are the riders are now so busy I can never see that happening. But there must be someone within BP that can give him some advise and help him out. It is the same story with most young riders these days they are just left to plod on by themselves that any rider that has the slightest big of making things work, just carries on and then fails to make the grade in the end. Hope soon that things will change and the young riders will get all the help they need. I just hope that they get some support from Phil Morris and his set up but we don't seem to hear to much about what his happening with them. Steve0
As Doyle said - that's harsh! Although I'm sure a number of Lions fans will be happy with this.
SCB
Except they can't sack him. The deadline for team changes has passed. Be funny if he turned up there on Wednesday - they couldn't stop him riding

The only thing is that they can't have a facility
Panthers89
You must be able to sack a rider when the window passes.... he brings the club into disrepute, he doesn't show up for countless meetings etc and he cant be sacked, so the riders untouchable? Leicester Lion
As Doyle said - that's harsh! Although I'm sure a number of Lions fans will be happy with this. I don't think anyone can be happy with any aspect of this whole sorry episode. I bet the promotion would prefer to see Doyle supporting their actions. Worryingly, it's not the first time a rider has left BP under a cloud. The club has form for signing riders who don't stick around too long. It does mean Mads can guest.

TMW
One day we will get a meeting at Leicester which will be memorable for the on track action rather than the off track controversy. The meeting on Thursday was a cracker..........
Daniel Smith
Nope, no team changes. So he's in the 1-7 until the end of the season now. Only option they have is to use a PL sub-6 pointer. It does mean Mads can guest. No it doesn't. If Mads doesn't ride for Leicester and not produce a sick note or have an FIM event to race in he'll be hit with a 28 day ban. Which ever way you look at it, Mads will not be able to guest for anyone.
flagrag
As far as I can make out Leicester can sack Mads and remove him from their 1-7 but may not be able to have a facility so be forced to use a NL rider wouldn't be surprised if they did this. By removing Mads also means he is unable to guest in play offs, personally think its all a bit stupid yes his form recently has been poor and should have rode at Belle Vue but all too late now with nothing to gain other than damaging the club reputation with fans and other riders. Which ever way you look at it, Mads will not be able to guest for anyone. What if he does turn up ready to ride though? It would certainly set the cat among the pigeons. There would be no grounds to ban him, Leicester wouldn't get a facility and he would be free to guest for anyone subsequently. But he's not going to rock up to a meeting he's not going to get paid for and pay for flights to get over here. Let's be sensible about it. He's been sacked purely so he can't guest for others. There's no other reason for doing it now with 1 meeting left, knowing your team is going to be weakened further for a home meeting and the last to boot. Pure spite from the Lions management.
