King's Lynn Stars 2014

Recommended Posts

Well, when ya luck is out it's out, absolutely gutted for Niels, he had a huge end of the season ahead of him :-( 6 months, will we see him back in 2015, not sure if he'll want more or less racing when making a comeback?

Not sure where his injury leaves us? Surely we could sign a replacement but Poole have had no luck so will we? :-(

no replacement transfer window is closed its R/R or guest all the way from now on in - I suggest we use as often as we can ex Stars captain and fans favoraite Mads

NKI season is over as he is out for 6 month according to sportswefaeky or whatever u call it

Bad news for lynn if true. If you can't get zagar then surely r/r may be best option

And last but not least get well soon niels

Appreciate what you say, But until it come from Niels himself, I take all other comments with a pinch of salt. The chances are he will miss the end of the season, probably even longer. Just hoe he can make a full recovery in time.....

Feel gutted for Niels, Gutted for the Stars. I always felt with Niels leading the way, we could have achieved the impossible. But now..!!!!!!!!

In my opinion it's Swindon to lose now as long as they keep there 1-7 fit they should win the play off final

What? You been on the sauce Haza? Poole are the outstanding favourites without doubt. A two legged affair against the auld enemy would result in an aggregate win for the Pirates I reckon.

Would be nice to even get in the play offs mind!

Read online that Niels is out for 6 months, destroyed his cruciate ligament which is awful news. He had better get a wildcard for the SGP next season.

With him at 1, the best rider in the Elite League this season (look at the stats), the Stars had a real chance to win it all this season.

Now, well the stuffing has been knocked out of it all to be honest. Depressing.

Cant bring in a replacement now either. Swindon's to lose now.

Sad news about NKI. Isend my best wishes to Niels on a speedway recovery.

As for all the fans saying its Swindon's to lose lets not forget about Eastbourne.

can't see Eastbourne being much threat with all these away meetings.

Gutted for NKI and King's Lynn. you guys had been the best all year and cruel that Iversen and Rose have got injured this near to play offs.

With Ward out and Bees depleted, this could be made easier for Swindon

This is where the stupid cut off comes in to place on the 28th August! A team losses an important rider through no fault of their own and have to use guests and RR for the rest of the season. Poole had this with Piotr in 2012, general transfers should be stopped but injuries should be allowed to be replaced if they wish too and stop robbing the general public of new permanent riders coming in.

I think if a rider is injured after the cut-off date then the club should be allowed to sign a replacement for that rider - only if the original rider is out for the season.

As Darcy isn't injured, this shouldn't apply. You sign a rider who has a tendency to "go off the rails" at your peril - it's not as if they haven't had two weeks for a contingency plan!

Don't forget Rory dislocating his shoulder on Wednesday too.....should be fit to complete the season but always takes him weeks to get his confidence back after getting hurt, just like Bjerre earlier in the season.

Fingers crossed Swindon scrape 4th, don't really want Eastbourne in there to be honest.

As I said Swindon won't make the play offs unless they win at The Lions next week and they have no Worrall and no one in the draft list who is any good to replace him on that night .

I spoke to Neil's in his hotel in Gorzow tonight and his season is over and he's totally gutted and I am for him to missing out on the possibility of another world championship medal and he's in the playoffs in all of his leagues he races in

Hmmmm change the rules to allow NKI & Ward to be replaced??? Don't remember Lynn or Poole objecting to the draft system when they bagged the best reserves or offering Swindon Charles Wright when Bates left!

Don't see that happening ..IF Poole & Lynn are allowed to have replacements Coventry will want surely want one too if Ben Barkers collarbone is broken !! They don't seem to be doing very well at Leicester with just two heat leaders !!

I'm actually quite angry to be honest with our management team.

We have a huge reliance on three riders in Iversen, Bjerre and Kerr with the expectation that the others may fill in with 5-6 points.

For weeks we've said our 2nd strong isn't enough to take us to the title yet we've sat with our fingers firmly up our backsides and not made the vital move to make at least one change. Now look, we're proper bowled over all down to resting on our laurels.

People can't stand Poole but at least they'll make a change when required. Coventry, Swindon the same, clubs with big balls. King's Lynn??? Ohhhh, don't worry mate, a little cuddle will do. Balls to that. This is sport at the end of the day = all effort to win

I am fooking gutted. One day before I die I'm just wishing and hoping my club can lift the top league title and this chance has gone to waste for being slack.

I so hope what we're left with can now go out a give me hope but I just don't think it's in them, but I have fingers crossed.

I'm just so gutted
