Woz01
Andre Compton posted a video of his crash on Twitter, a rare breed these speedway riders. I've seen some horrendous pictures of riders injuries, Jason Doyles leg being one.
stevehone
if there's a crash we generally get asked by the riders if there are pictures of it
lionheart
Very sorry to say it, but it is looking to me that the Stars have run out of steam. I regret this, because if they have, it means that Lord Frauds cheating lot in the south coast will walk away with the title yet again. Please save us from that
Ott2trot
KL have just proved that both Poole and Swindon are far better over two legs. What went wrong?Same old story with our boys.....they are the Man.City of speedway if they all perform to their ability, trouble is recently only half the team have a good night. And its never the same riders. For example,Porsing and Lambert have both had maximums,Kerr and Rose were widely regarded as the best 'fast-track' pairing and the other three are potentially the best combination of three heat-leaders in the league. They all need to remind themselves of this and get that early season morale back. Cant help feeling that Brum's results being expunged has been a factor also.......... Daniel Smith
Looking at the remaining fixtures for us and Poole it's gonna be a task for us to hold the top spot Kings Lynn - 26 (m) - 59 (pts) Poole - 25 (m) - 53 (pts) Remaining fixtures Poole (H) Eastbourne - Wolverhampton (+6) (A) Leicester - Lakeside x2 - Coventry (+8) Kings Lynn (H) Swindon - Lakeside (+3) (A) Coventry - Eastbourne - Leicester (+5) Final table 1. Poole - 67pts 2. Kings Lynn - 67pts Getting pipped to the top spot on count back Everything for me hinges on the Swindon meeting next Wednesday. If we win that we should just have enough to hang on and get 1st pick for the Play-Offs.

Bagpuss
Arrrrggghhhhh, Lewis Rose had a fall at Glasgow today and withdrew from the meeting after a really good week of scores for Lynn and the Young Stars. Seems like he or Lewis Kerr have a crash every time they ride in the PL at the minute. Need him fit for the run in, virtually irreplaceable especially at home.
kelvinht
Both Lewis's are irreplaceable, but we probably have better options for Lewis K than Lewis R.

Yeah sure will be tight - Poole have got into top form at the right time of the season, while Lynn have eased off a bit. After their draw at Leicester Poole currently sit at +13, so even gaining +1 point at their last 3 aways will not be enough as it stands, but Lynn will be in trouble if they get an away win or two! Lynn must get all 3pts at home in their last two to remain at +17, but of course any points gained away will put that up. Surprised you didn't mention Coventry though - they sit at +11 at the moment, and have 4 more away matches. If they don't lose any more at home and get a couple more away wins it could see them overtaking both Lynn and Poole For info (current positions basing on points lost at home v. points gained away) : Lynn +17 Poole +13 Coventry +11 Swindon +1 Lakeside -1 E'bourne -1 BelleVue -5 Wolves -12 Leicester -14 Edited August 24, 2014 by Star Fever

I don't know when the cut-off is but it beats me why its so early (Sky I suppose....) but it would surely make more sense to have end of Sept as the cut-off - theres a whole month after to get in just 6 meetings after all! Its hardly good TV I'd have thought if the punters are told ''...team XYZ did'nt make it due to running out of time... '' when there's about 6 weeks of the season still to come! mdmc82
If they have left 10 days surely they will allow one or two to go over? Can't see it. Usually very strict when it doesn't involve certain team.

Problem with running to end of Sept before play-offs is weather is usually even more dodgy in October.....teams should be able to complete fixtures by mid September, but with all the juggling around to fit in with rider's teams in poland, sweden, denmark, etc and international meetings it almost makes it impossible. foreverblue
This is a perennial problem why teams dont get more meetings in earlier in the summer is strange especially if you consider the amount of dry days we have had with no racing Can't see it. Obviously October isn't generally a good month for dry days but there again nor is April! In other words its pot luck - if October was reserved for play-offs (only SIX matches remember) there'd surely be a good chance of getting them in! Yes, Lynn have had a few blank weeks plus ofc there's 2 or 3 weeks gap for the world cup which ironically was perfect weather this year. We lost our fixture with Birmingham straight after the WC - strange that date wasn't used. You'd think the powers that be would've learnt by now as its the same every year :/ Edited August 25, 2014 by Star Fever
