King's Lynn Stars 2014

As you are in the happy position of being able to lose all your away matches and still probably be top, I would not do any knee jerk changes yet, if in mid august bjerre is still struggling and his known play off problems then maybe change the team then.

TBH even if we lost all our remaining home matches we'd possibly still finish top as we've gained +25pts away so far and only lost 2pts at home so with 6 home matches remaining could 'lose' 18pts thus the worst it could be is +5 come the end.

Hopefully KB can regain some confidence by the time of the stupid playoffs, and keep away from more injuries (that goes for the rest of the team as well ofc!!). It'd be great to finish the season and hopefully win the league with the same seven we started with

Obviously his average will have to be carefully monitored. so you dont lose the chance of a equal ability rider

Not really, he has been below par since he came back from injury. I don't want him out but on such things can titles be won and lost.

yes really - we have lost 2 away meeting on the bounce and want to consider team changes - yes I agree Kenneth been below par since his return and I think we all would be to be honest if we had had an operation to insert a plate - in general life it not be a problem but speedway isn't general life . As I say if we was to drop Kenneth and I can't believe we are even thinking or talking of doing this 20 points clear at the top of the league it will be a massive mistake .

Might also be a massive mistake if we don't replace him should his fortunes not improve. You have to be absolutely on the money as a team to win the Play Offs when they come around and can't afford to be carrying riders who should be doing much better.

Like you I would much prefer to go the whole season with the same seven riders but dismissing any changes out of hand in early July when the Play Offs are in September is obtuse and short sighted. Tough decisions have to be made if you want to win things and IMO its a situation which needs to be kept an eye on. People have probably raised the subject after a couple of defeats but we've been carrying him off and on for a few weeks now and losing a meeting or two magnifies it. If it was a couple of poor shows from him coinciding with two defeats I'd agree it would be a bit knee jerk but he has been poor for a few weeks now.

Of course having a plate makes a difference and I sympathise with him especially when the crash wasn't his fault but whatever the reason we need him scoring points, simple as that really.

Bjerre is not a rider who returns to his best form quickly. At the start of last season with P'Boro he was way short of where he needed to be, but his form did return, eventually. I never though when he came back to Lynn that he was going hit the high spots straight away. In truth I thought he would be producing bigger scores by now, but I have the faith he will comeback to his best, or at least pretty damn close.

IF, Lynn did look to replace him who is out there, who could fit in the rest of the British season ? Or would Lynn fans be happy to have a new rider on who would be very hit and miss over dates. Plus whoever came in would no doubt want to name their price for doing so.

For me, I'd prefer to stick with the devil we know. If we win it, great. If we don't, well we gave it a good go

We lose two away meetings and there a call for team changes we drop Kenneth we will regret it - support the team through thick and thin .

No chance Lynn will replace Bjerre. The old saying 'form is temporary, class is permanent'. He will come good. Class performer.

We'll find out soon I guess, must admit to not being confident in Lil Ken unless he's got his Sunday Best Gating Gloves on :-)

Trees, if we are good enough we will if not we won't. Have a bit more faith in Rob and Buster. They have steered the ship pretty damn well so far this season

Oh I know we are good enough if they all do the biz! It's all about the eighth man for the fans :-)

Those two defeats wasn't just down to Kenneth's lack of form. We as a team didn't perform. Each member could look back and feel they could have done better. No we win as a Team and lose as a team. The truth being on those two days we weren't at our best. Will do better next time.

Same with Kenneth. He is a valued member of the team and if he is fit then he rides. Everyone's form suffers when they are injured, and Kenneth is no different. Sure he not scoring the points we have seen from him, but to talk of dropping him is way out of order.. If it meant keeping Kenneth in the team and losing out on the honours then so be it. One of the reasons why Kings Lynn is so special and every riders want to ride here is because we treat riders with respect. Those posters who want to change him, have you forgotten the big scores he did when he help beat teams like Wolves, Belle Vue, and Birmingham .

No, we start as a team and we finish as a team . That's far more important in the long run, than winning some trophy.......

Peter Nahlin, who got injured and was replaced by Jon Cook. Didn't really make too much difference in the end, the league had been lost earlier the season through too many away defeats.
