dump that clutch
Big disappointment last night, in so many ways. to lose points at home is not something I accept easily. But there were many things I thought were wrong, all having a bearing on proceedings. First the positives, we had three riders last night who really came to the fore. majestic Niels, Young Porsing and FT King Kerr. They all showed when it matters they can deliver. Next to them Scotty tried hard, was never going to be the adequate replacement for Kenneth, but he did battle. Bikes seemed slow, but they always do....Young Rose had a meeting to forget. Feel sorry that he was forced out twice and got no protection from the useless ref. The first, was so blatant, even a blind man would have seen him being hit from behind. the second was more constructed and a call for all 4 back would have been an easy call. Sitting in the Royal Box, Rose had nowhere to go and just laid it down..... Young Lambert had a night to forget. His last ride when he battled for that brilliant second place wasn't enough to forget his other fruitless outings. he seemed to have bike issues, but a quick gesture from his watching mother soon cured that thought.... A good captain has to lead by example and Rory is falling short on this big time. Its all very well being at the pit-gate motivating and congratulating the riders, but his first priority has to be scoring points. Last night he was pitiful. a far cry from the Rory we once knew. the only person he beat was an out of sorts Gustafsson. I know the season is young and we have time on our hands, but we need Rory leading from the front with quicker machinery. Scoring them solidarity points is not enough. My biggest concern last night was the track. Probably, not alone with my thoughts, but I don't think making the track that grippy does anyone any favours. The racing is processional and spread out, making the whole night a gate and go track. The Norfolk Arena is better than that, It tarnishes the evening and creates a big leveller of the riders. I'm sure with less muck and less grip, the spectacle would be more entertaining and the better riders would find the drive when they went looking for it. Again, Niels was brilliant last night. he lifted a little that took him past the corner, right call IMO. Heat 2 was lucky for us as SW did tap him. No way was it an all 4 back when Rose went down. He was rightly excluded. To put all 4 back would have been the easy call. The ref got that one right. How he missed the double shove Worrall gave Rose, god only knows. He also had TV replays at his finger tips as well. Poor call that one for The Ref. Imagine what Roscoe would have been like if that was a Swindon rider who had gone down. All Credit to Rob Lyon, Mr Calm and cool... I guess these things have a habit of evening themselves out over the course of a season.

Trees
I thought the ref was trying to make a name for himself on tv, albeit for making bad decisions, all publicity is good lol. In our A2 score sheet, yep we've gone large this year, it said the ref was D Hartley, of course we thought he should stick to jam making, he was too busy with his strawberries to make it hence Holt deputised. I guess everyone makes mistakes!

g13webb
he lifted a little that took him past the corner, right call IMO. Heat 2 was lucky for us as SW did tap him. I thought last night Rose was unlucky for the second time. having re-watched it again on the tele, I still feel the same way. Rose, having made the gate and first into the corner, he was forced out wide by Gustafssen from the inside run. When Rose eased the throttle, he lifted a fraction causing him to be unstable. Running out of room he laid it down before crashing. Like I said Rose was unfortunate. he did nothing wrong. I thought it was a racing incident. Bearing in mind how much stick Gustafssen is getting of late, he was going to be giving it his all, so no blame on him. The Ref had made a massive blunder in Rose's first race, I thought this time round he could have evens up the score and easily had all four back. Just an opinion........ No way was it an all 4 back when Rose went down. He was rightly excluded. To put all 4 back would have been the easy call. The ref got that one right. As always, your opinion always differs from mine. You must live in a wonderful world where everything is always Black and White.....
MrMungo
If Rose felt hard done by, which I guess he would've, surely he should've stayed down? That would've forced the ref to take a look at the replays. By getting up and allowing the race to continue, it's almost as if Rose was admitting blame. The 2nd one was pretty clear cut. Rose eased off the throttle as Jesus drifted out wider than expected. Easing off the throttle in the dirt at King's Lynn is never a wise move. Bit of inexperience but he'll learn from it, which is surely what the draft is all about?

I am sure no team is breaking the draft payment rules and paying them all £40 per point, right?
