Crazy robin
How many riders would move if they had the choice though as I don't think it would be many & harsh to say they have to stay at a club. The points limit dictates it rarely happens as a result.
Trees
Hardly a wind-up on this occasion - merely stating a fact - and to illustrate once again how poor communication is in British speedway!! The sooner 'the powers that be' start to embrace social media in a positive and proactive way, they will realise that the old methods of communication eg press releases, are no longer sufficient!!! Believe it or not some people on here don't have the will or the time to trawl Polish websites for all the news but are happy to bide their time til official British news comes out .....

Agree, but as this meeting is promoted/organised/marketed by the Poles and the World Champion's name was mentioned some time ago, that's why the info came to my attention - no 'trawling' of Polish websites for me!! It was even on the speedwaygp.com site on 18th!!! Edited February 24, 2014 by Skidder1
tellboy
It was even on the speedwaygp.com site on 18th!!! But if you read it properly, the promoters were only rumoured to be in talks with Tai on the 18th. Now on the SGP site on the 21st it said he was riding for the Stars Edited February 24, 2014 by tellboy
semion
The season can't start soon enough, least that will give us all something of some importance to talk about.

Can anyone confirm the line up for the Polish team please

micman
Big Crowd, with a good few Potato heads, Does this call for Mike ( DB's lovechild) Bennett to make a guest appearance ? Can Buster entice him back for the evening. Highly unlikely Semion

Haza
I haven't been contacted so can only assume that presentation has been organised. not being funny but why would they ? You walked away from Kings Lynn Speedway is the way I understand it - it was your choice - but without doubt I and many more would be happy if you was to return on a full time basis . It was indeed my choice and I won't be "un-retiring". . . . the point I was making to Semion was that I hadn't been contacted and, as you say, why should I? The only reason I agreed to present Mads meeting on March 16th was as a favour to one of my favourite riders. My days of standing out on the centre concrete have gone, I had a fantastic time for over 20 years but nothing has happened within the sport that would make me question my decision. I always said the day that I stopped enjoying the job was the day to pack it in and let someone else have a go. Hope that's clarified the situation and that I can remember what to do on the 16th of March!
semion
If the memory is letting you down somewhat, you could always give Barrie a call. I'm sure he would be happy to remind you. Lol

And you get free points for a win. Seeing as he works at the local Tesco he must be offering clubcard points each week but I'm unsure how to apply for that
semion
Oh yeah I'd forgotten about the man in the middle. No doubt we get the total extremes when Edwin hands over to him.

PhilK
No Baggy It doesn't, in my opinion these lads should have been riding PL under the same or a similar system. I admit I am unaware of the format of the races but if they are just racing against each other then no it definitely doesn't! All you are getting is heat thirteen and fifteen of an NL meeting in the EL? Edited February 27, 2014 by PhilK
Bagpuss
They also ride with and against a second string in two of their heats apparently, thus avoiding the top three I believe. I agree that the PL should be doing something similar, but I'm pleased to see our young uns filling reserve spots rather than Dryml, Gizatullin, Niemenen, Covatti etc.
