ciderman
Coventry Top 5 overall look stronger to me, a lot rests on the heatleaders scoring a minimum of 10 or 12 points,
foreverblue
Sounds like Porsing was wanted by most clubs in the EL. Think we are fortunate to have held on to him. Bit of a shame that Kozza coudn't be fitted in but I'm sure he'll get fixed up elsewhere and I'm more than happy with the seven named. That has been cut and pasted for future use! Talk about setting yourself up for a fall Well we will see who has the better average at the end of the season but josh has the ability to be a 6 point average rider. SCB
If the heat format sees reserves only riding against reserves and the second string then the heatleaders will only rude against heat leaders. Kings lynn are in a great position if true.
Woz01
why the best top five Schlein has still to prove he is a heat leader Lambert could be rubbish or brilliant Porsing un proven good side but I wouldn't go overboard .I think there is going to be some good racing in the elite next season Schlein is a heat leader no doubt about that. I'd say it may take a bit of time for Lambert to fully get to grips with EL racing but results abroad suggests he will beat heat leaders now and again. As for Porsing I don't know to much about him so it wouldn't be right for me to comment. I agree the way teams are shaping up it looks like it might be a tight EL next year.

Daniel Smith
I can't help but be excited by this team. Simply full of rawness and experience. Should be some belting racing this season
500cc
Haven't seen a mention of Lambert's age issue. The team as named isn't legal. Was any explanation given tonight as to how King's Lynn will manage the start of the season?
skthecat
I'm so pleased with that, having Rose & Kerr as our reserves. Will be interesting as it has now been suggested we may only have 31 points to choose the top 5 for being allowed a strong reserve pairing. Suppose we'll just have to wait and see. .. T.N.T.
At first glance the Kings Lynn team looks good, but then I was thinking about it an wondered what they would be like under certain cirumstances. If they have to use R/R for Schlein, that gives Bjerre an extra ride but the bottom four would now have 19 outings between them. The reserves may do well in their heats but will the bottom four be able to get 20+ points possibly needed ? One of the strengths of the KL team is their reserves. How would they cope if Lewis Kerr was missing from a meeting as I think he should be good for 6 points most matches. If Porsing and Lambert are struggling, they will find it hard to get 49 points to get all three points even at home and away they may struggle to get over 40. Good looking team, but I think it may be too top heavy and think Belle Vue look better at present and if Eastbourne get Michelsen and Gustafsson, even they look better ith a more balanced team

Kings lynn are in a great position if true. Look to be very good at the NA but titles are not won at home. Bjerre and Schlein are going to have to put the scores in everywhere but the sides got potential to be amongst the leaders.
SteveLyric2
So, the team that didn't want more fixtures or KO Cup, now intends to start its fixtures later to fit in the illegal 15 year old (subject to BSPA approval)!? Will they manage to fit all their EL fixtures in and still qualify for the play-offs?! Strong team though!!

Will they manage to fit all their EL fixtures in and still qualify for the play-offs?! Strong team though!! I would suggest when the Promotor of the Speedway actually owns the Staduim, it can make life a little easier in fitting in dates. If This season, just gone is anything to go by im glad its starting later.. Nice to see us with 5 assets of our own in the team, and 2 borrowed from the BSPA. I think we will do ok, might not win, but then thats nothing new for us. So I am sure the Lynn fans will take what ever comes along, enjoy our racing on one of the best circuits available in the country. We will be happy enough. I wonder if the fans down in Dorset will be as happy if they have an average season. Maybe the Shovvy book of lame excuses will have a few new chapters added this season. g13webb
Having followed the Stars for more years than I care to remember, I’m still surprised at my enthusiasm when a new team is announced. Over the years we have assembled some truly magical teams, but for some reason or other, the league title has always avoided us. Even when we looked odds –on favourites, lady luck came and played its part. The squad announced last night has to be up there with the best of teams available and should put us into contention for that illusive win. Reading some posts on this thread there are many who are doubting the possibility, but make no mistake, this team has it all to be successful. Niels: One of the top riders in the world, can beat anyone on any day, anywhere. Truly magnificent. Rory: A seasoned heat leader, capable of easily putting a point on last season’s average. Kenneth: Another top riders in the SGP, after a bad injury, now returning to his top form. Awesome. Porsing: Another Danish sensation. We saw enough last year to know his 3 pt average is a joke. Most Elite league teams wanted to sign him. Feel pleased and privileged he choose Lynn. Lambert: Probably as good as any 15 yr old I’ve ever seen. Only been riding a few months, but the class just oozes from him. The only people who have any doubt of his talent, are those who have not seen him ride. Watching him score 21pts max last year was amazing. Either from the front or from behind, he made seasoned riders look silly. Some say he will struggle, I say he’ll achieve 5 to 6 pts CMA with ease. Kerr: Another young rider that improves all the time. Already the top classed draft rider, he will only get better riding against the protected opposition. Again, riding for Newcastle will help him become even better rider. Rose: Former Moto-X rider, has only ever ridden in 30 speedway meetings, and has already acquired a draft status. What an achievement that was. Having natural ability on a bike, he will only improve. Make no mistake, this team oozes class and will be more than capable of winning any match. Whether we can go on and win that illusive title in 2014 is irrelevant. But it should create a fantastic season and be fun watching the exploits of those young stars. Hopefully it will create a lot of interest, both locally and nationally, and that can only be good for the sport. I CAN still remember Michael Lee riding round Saddlebow Road after a meeting when he was just 15. Can you? And, if so, how does Lambert compare?
