King's Lynn Stars 2014

Recommended Posts

Looking at some Tweets and translating them it seems we left him out not Swindon having him back.

Porsing asked why, Mads responds "you need to ask them!?"

I understand the feeling regarding Mads being left out but lets face truths here. It's about the team. As a comparison it has to be Schlein over Mads, and if we have the chance to get King Kenny in then sh!itz me letting Mads go is the right thing to do. No King Kenny then it's a mistake.

So everyone is convinced it's Bjerre? I wouldn't be suprised or disappointed and the doesn't seem to be many other options.

Iversen

Lambert

Schlein

Ljung

Kylmakorpi

Just an alternative top 5 which fits.

We hear all these permutations of the Lynn side, but to me the most important acquisition has to be NKI.

Increasing the number of matches could be a big problem to someone Niels, and this might be a bridge too far for him to compete in our league. We are all assuming he will return as before, and have heard nothing to the contrary. But they're many top riders who have voiced they wont ride over here.

But without Niels, the strength of the side will be dramatically reduced. Yes, adding K, Bjerre to the team is positive step, but this has to be as well as Niels and not in place of him .

I would hope Niels will return for us for a 4th season. Like semion says, if it ain't broke, don't fix it! If he has gone, that would be a massive blow. Out of the suggestions posted, I personally like the team of Iversen, K Bjerre, Schlein, Porsing, R Lambert. If that is what we've got, I'd be happy with that. But of course, Lambert can't start racing in the EL until April, so in the fixtures in March, who would we have instead of him?

I've heard a rumour that the team will start with Iversen, K Bjerre, Schlein, Porsing, Kozza , Kerr and Rose leaving the door open for Lambert when he becomes available.

We'll all know come Thursday.

I'd be happy with that team anyway but I can't believe for 1 minute that Kozza will be happy being selected as an interim rider. He's far better than that.

You don't have to be a fan but it's understanding what rider's bring to a team. As frustrating as Bjerre can be when we had with him & Iversen in our team 2 year ago it's been our best team since returning to the EL. To think that Iversen is even better now & add Schlein to that and it's an awesome start to team building. That will quite clearly be the best top 3 in the EL.

So, like Bjerre or not it most certainly adds more fire power to the team than anything Mads had to offer.

After all that though, we might rock up on Thursday and find we might have a real cheap & sh!te team.

If NKI does end up back at Lynn, will they have to buy him ?

Nope, Panthers don't have a team and wont be EL so all riders are free agents.

Well all I can say is I hope he's not back at Swindon as if they gave him permission to talk to Kings Lynn then that was where he wanted to be.

Screamer,

Cant quote for some reason, but your point at top of page how we don't have a team. How come Swindon have LOANED Troy from the Peterborough Panthers then?

No idea what you mean as the question was would we have to BUY Iversen. The answer was no because the Panthers have no say and the rider's are free agents but yes a loan fee still has to be paid. I never said it didn't.
