King's Lynn Stars 2014

Recommended Posts

I'm actually quite angry to be honest with our management team.

We have a huge reliance on three riders in Iversen, Bjerre and Kerr with the expectation that the others may fill in with 5-6 points.

For weeks we've said our 2nd strong isn't enough to take us to the title yet we've sat with our fingers firmly up our backsides and not made the vital move to make at least one change. Now look, we're proper bowled over all down to resting on our laurels.

People can't stand Poole but at least they'll make a change when required. Coventry, Swindon the same, clubs with big balls. King's Lynn??? Ohhhh, don't worry mate, a little cuddle will do. Balls to that. This is sport at the end of the day = all effort to win

I am fooking gutted. One day before I die I'm just wishing and hoping my club can lift the top league title and this chance has gone to waste for being slack.

I so hope what we're left with can now go out a give me hope but I just don't think it's in them, but I have fingers crossed.

I'm just so gutted

It's not over until it's over - keep the faith!

A signing in Porsing's place would have made us a little stronger but nobody who will realistically guest for Puk can match his scores so we are shafted anyway IMO. Zagar is unlikely to do it, Woffinden is injured and even when he gets fit has been disappointing in the UK this year, Pawlicki would be awesome but doesn't seem interested in riding for Wolves let alone guesting and is obviously focused on the U21's, Batchelor or Kildemand could do a job if Swindon don't qualify, Bjarne the same but doesn't turn up against Poole, Doyle can't guest due to his visa, Mads too inconsistent.

Coventry v Poole final if Swindon don't make it.

The writing was on the wall prior to Niels injury it was plain to see Wednesday night against Swindon we'd ran out of steam - I agree another change needed to be made just to give us that extra push - but now we lose Niels basically I think its game over - who can we pick as a guest to cover him ? We got the choice of anyone in the league I think I'm right in saying?

as I've said earlier today we might as well use a rider with Kings Lynn in his heart a never give up attitude a fans favoraite and a rider that didn't want to leave in the first place for me it has to be Mads when available - we won't win the play offs but least we will be using a rider that will give his all

Here's where I am. I know Lambert is 16 but now it's the time to ask if he can step it up, and step it up big. Give Porsing a fooking kick up the ass and change the structure of the team is a must. Bjerre is coming good and has been our best rider recently so he can easily do the No'1 job. We should forget other No'1s because they'll just not put it in for us

1. Bjerre

2. Porsing

3. Guest (Stead / Mads)

4. Lambert

5. Schlein

6. Kerr

7. Lambert

We STILL have a good team and IF they can all perform the way they were earlier in the season, with above line-up and a bit of luck we might just still sneak it.

Lets do it for Niels.....

My glass is starting to be half full again

We'll see. Out of interest why do Swindon need something at Leicester to finish fourth please?

Well 50 pts wont be enough ...as I expect Eastie to pick up at least 3 pts away v weak oppo in Belle Vue no reserves ,Cov twice and Wolves minus woffy ...in that double headed between Cov and Eastie they could also let each other win once so both go into the semi's .

No points at the Lions then Swindon are out and they have no Worrall and have no one to replace him

I think we will miss out for those exact same reasons. People are taking like we are already there which is crazy. Its our own fault for dropping all those stupid points early in the season.

If BV vs Eastbourne is run on one of the play-off mondays then that leagues Poole and Kings Lynn screwed for guests! Woffy probably not interested, only Mads at Leicester, little Pawlicki and Watt the only options left

Don't agree with that. Nobody in Eastbourne's team is worth a punt and not fussed about Zagar. I genuinely believe (at home which has been our biggest problem with killing teams) Stead or Mads are the better options but we need our 2 and 4 to wake up.

If our 2 and 4 can't pull their socks up, it really doesn't matter who the guest is.

Poole will surely be planning to use Bjarne though? You're right about Stead though, probably a better option than a few of those already named.

It was pointed out to me that Porsing's form had dipped because he's been trying out new engines and equipment.

He has now decided to go back with his original bikes where he use to scored big points.

Fingers crossed.......

All the riders mentioned just goes to show how poor the EL is.

We have the top rider in the averages so would be able to use anyone and names like Watt,Pedersen,Mads, and Stead are being mentioned. No disrespect to these riders but they are not in NKI's league.

You would have thought the rules would allow a team who has a rider with a genuine injury to be replaced, especially as there is still 7 weeks to go until the end of the play-offs.

Get Mads in, at least we'll still have a KL heart to our team. Nobody would question his commitment to the cause, an accusation which is often levelled at guests. He'd love to win it for his buddy Niels.

Mads has had some good results at cov, poole and Swindon(all potential play off opponents), so hopefully will dust off his 2013 kevlars and come and lend a hand

Agreed. If Bees qualify, they will have by far the worst team and manager. Kings Lynn will hope to finish top and pick us as they wont want Swindon, who IMO are possibly slight favourites now with what has happened to Iversen and Ward.

I don't think one recent away loss makes a team shocking
