semion
Team Lewis will take some replacing. With The Elite League Reserves riding in 2/3 League plus guesting here there and everywhere the law of averages tells you injuries to these riders are bound to come. I think there are a good few of the FTR now injured which is going to put even more strain on the system and the other riders that are still fit. Aaron Reuben Smith
And so the injury curse strikes again!! Hopefully we are far enough ahead to cover us for a few meetings and they both recover quickly Edited June 15, 2014 by Smithy304
Star Fever
Obviously we don't yet know full extent of the injuries and can only hope both Lewises are soon back riding. Thankfully we have a good start in the quest to reach the play-offs and and they'll be back when we need them! Best wishes to both for speedy recoveries!!!
Daniel Smith
Via Twitter:- "@LewisKerrRacing: Dislocated my AC shoulder joint from collarbone. Gutted. Got to go back to hospital tomorrow to sort out surgery"
stevebrum
Hopefully he will be back soon. There is no one who can replace Kerr adequately.
tellboy
Hopefully he will be back soon. There is no one who can replace Kerr adequately. Hopefully Lynn will get the special dispensation rule in their favour, the one that gets used down South. As Kerr was averaging 9+ we can use any Englishman at reserve under his 9 average.I would go with the current World Champion for Wednesday In all seriousness hope Kerr recovers quickly and is back in the saddle soon. As for guests for Wednesday it seems to read on the BSPA site you can only use the same guest four times so I would not take someone like Worrall,Wright or Blackbird just in case we may need someone of their calibre at the end of the season if anything else goes wrong. semion
How about Simon Lambert ? He sure knows his way around Saddlebow and looked ok the other week
g13webb
Reading his Twitter quote, Lewis Kerr's shoulder injury sounds bad, has anyone heard about the seriousness of Lewis Rose's injury yet? A double whammy in one night.
semion
Looking at the Newcastle meeting it would seem Rose rode in the re-run of the heat where he had his spill. Fingers crossed.
Bagpuss
The saving grace is that we have points in the bag already so there is no need to rush either of them back until they are completely ready.
g13webb
I'm hoping it sounds worse than it actually is. The biggest issue when you dislocate a joint is that it lends itself to be suspect for further problems, i.e. easier to come out like. Like has been said, we have a few points to play with, and the choice of all the FTR to cover, lets hope for a speedily return, but not to be rushed back in fear of further damage.... pointsmeanplayoffs
Gutted. Just gutted. Hope both lads take the time needed to make full recoveries. 10 meetings before the WC break, hopefully have a few rain offs in that lot?!? All the FTD riders we get in to cover will not score as well as #teamlewis.
SteveLyric2
Its a big shame for Kerr especially, but injuries are an occupational hazard. All clubs have suffered with them to a greater or lesser degree. Do I detect a whiff of panic amongst Stars fans??
foreverblue
I hope they both are back very soon, both very promising british riders and Kerr was really going well of late.

pointsmeanplayoffs
No panic, just gutted for the local lads who have been an integral part of a wonderful season so far. Injuries are part of speedway, every team will have them at some point. Is there any specific news on Lewis Rose? Will he be fit for Wednesday? As you say every team has injuries and we've been more fortunate than most so far. Just have to suck it up and cope like others have had to.
