King's Lynn Stars 2014

Yep if that team is up to the points limit, happy with the Norfolk connection :) I'd have Richie instead of Lebedevs ..........

Not until the points limit comes out will it be worth trying to summise and even then our promotion will surprise us haha

That wasn't a suggestion of a 1-7, more a list of names who may or may not be involved.

Would love Richie back and/or Cook to have a year on a proper speedway track but don't see either happening really, both will surely be at Belle Vue.

I like the sound of Kerr and Lambert, but have a real concern about Kerr around Saddlebow. Looking at his scoring in the Prem League he looks a real find, but his scores at Lynn IN the National dont really reflect that. Would like to have Cook or Doyle in our mix for next season.

I'd suggest your concern is misplaced.....he probably should be scoring more in the NL but what he has achieved in the PL and in his few EL meetings is a far better indicator IMO.

Last night's score was effectively 8 from three and then two EF's but the lad can gate so well and that will hold him in great stead for 2014. Starting the season in a PL top five and at reserve for Lynn will take him to the next level and if we don't use him someone else will.

I don't personally see the top lads over here next year so next years team may well see the likes of:

Schlein

Korneliussen

Smith

Porsing

Lebedev

Kerr

Lambert

Thoughts?

Thoughts are that I really appreciate your new avatar Baggy! :P:t:

And that would NEVER happen eh B-)

Just listened to the 2nd part of the EDP end of season podcast, let's hope that some of Buster and Rob's plans come to fruition at the conference and the club . . . role on 2014 B-)

Is there a link to this? I'm sure it would be of interest to many fans!

Unable to post a link skiddy as I'm on my phone but go to www.edp24.co.uk then click on the Sport tab, then King's Lynn Stars and the podcast is there in two parts :t:

Thanks for that. I listened to part 2 and frankly was a little disappointed at Rob Lyon. He kept referring to 'the sport making major changes', without giving any real examples other than trying to track the same 1-7 each week and making sure riders did a lap of honour to 'interact' with fans!! Both quite reasonable objectives but hardly 'major changes'!! Or is there more in part 1?

It's been a few weeks since the last meeting for the 1st team and I am actually missing it already. I now can't wait for 2014, just wishing the months away for March.

Regardless of the structure of the league/s I think it's important the team is structured around Schlein and Korneliussen. The promotion are desperate to include Lambert in the team but I do worry the rules and rule makers may have something to say about that as he doesn't turn 16 until 5th April. Next month we'll know more after the AGM.

I would like to see Kerr as a D/U with the return of Porsing also. Hopefully the league structure will allow for Iversen.

1, Iversen

2, Porsing

3, Korneliussen

4,

5, Schlein

6, Kerr D/U

7, Lambert
