Phil The Ace
Try Watt and Batchelor..does that fit? Oh sorry. Yeh. I did predict watt and batch at lakeside on Facebook earlier. Forgot about that
NickRushbrook
Would love to see Batch at Lakeside. Another rider who probably hasn't hit his peak yet.

Can't see Batch at Swindon in 2014 unfortunately as he is ready for the next stage of his career in my opinion.
Custom House Kid
He will have to learn to ride the track! But not a bad call for me!
Crazy robin
He will have to learn to ride the track! But not a bad call for me! I thought he didn't have to bad a record at Lakeside for a away rider & will only get better when it's his home track?. Not sure of his record, but he never looks comfortable on the Lakeside track for me. But as you say that could be ironed out. RICO did not like the track at one time and I'm not sure he ever fully mastered it! (If he became 1/2 as good as RICO I would sign him tomorrow) Edited November 25, 2013 by Custom House Kid
NickRushbrook
Troy is a proper racer and would take no time to master the circuit. All good riders do.
foreverblue
Wouldn't want Troy in my team, can beat anyone on his day but is too inconsistant for me, example the play offs awesome at home, fantastic last lap pass on Janowski but then terrible at Poole, a track he knows very well.

Is that management speak for - we want another rider instead and his average doesn't fit?
Crazy robin
Is that management speak for - we want another rider instead and his average doesn't fit? No not really as can't see Swindon not having PK in the team & then there can't be room for Troy.

I can actually think of another Aussie, much closer to home, who has sometimes demonstrated the exact same traits. Heaven knows how they can tag us 'Whinging Pomms'!

NickRushbrook
If Adam Ellis is indeed our first draft pick, I wouldn't mind seeing Paul Starke as our second. He looked promising a few years back. Got a good style from what I've seen too.
lionking
Paul Starke is damn right dangerous on a bike If Adam Ellis is indeed our first draft pick, I wouldn't mind seeing Paul Starke as our second. NickRushbrook
Paul Starke is damn right dangerous on a bike Yeah? I've not seen enough to judge. Any potential there mate?
lionking
Having seen him at Leicester twice , Berwick once & Plymouth . He throws the bike into the turns & rides through people. Last season at Leicester he went straight going into a corner with a rider on the outside of him & didn't turn till the other rider was into really deep dirt on the outside. He is the reason Ashley Birks is so seriously injured & he had no concern for Ashley on the day just banging on about how much his repair bill was going to be Yeah? I've not seen enough to judge. Any potential there mate?

I've only seen Paul Starke ride twice - and on both occasions he looked as though he was very keen to join the Ryan Fisher 'Lets scare the s*** out of everyone else on track' fan club!! Shame as he looked useful a few seasons back. Perhaps then a rider who crosses that fine line between aggressive and dangerous.
