stevebrum
.On PK IMO he will return to Wolves for the last time next season to bring down the curtain on a great career ( I always understood his final British season would be as a wolf ) and he has decided to curtail riding here this year to be in the best possible shape .If he had retired from British s/way i am sure we would have known and the L/side fans would have been able to pay homage one last time to the "Legend" as he truely deserves it. Link to confirm that as true please?
FAST GATER
Link to confirm that as true please? I do apologise if I mis- led you or anyone else the post was only" My" opnion as another poster said that the demands of racing in three leagues maybe possible be too much sighting his back injury from last year as a possible cause for this.I thought he may concentrate on the other two leagues for the rest of the season sorry agian if misled you it was unintentional . OK that's fine, we still don't know then why PK isn't riding for Lakeside still.
foreverblue
OK that's fine, we still don't know then why PK isn't riding for Lakeside still. They probably didn't want him lowering his average anymore so he could fit back in the wolves team!

marko
PK has won his first two heats this evening in the Swedish league, in the second he held Darcy Ward at bay, he looks like the PK of old, meanwhile Davey WAtt has had two last places and looks completely off the pace! This makes Lakeside's decision making process look even more inept.
orion
There can be doubt that PK and Lakeside have had some kind full out no matter what spin is put on it there is no way they would replace him with Kim if was to do with team strength . cityrebel
Which World have you been living in? We have been in those stormy waters for the last couple of years - it takes stories like this, the demise of Birmingham and doubts about Eastbourne and Coventry before anyone thinks mmmmm perhaps there is something wrong with British Speedway after all. Wolfie a world where manners cost nothing.

No doubt about that. I don't know why people are talking as ifs a poor decision about team strength. Almost certainly about money. Obviously any club can't keep paying a No1's wages to a rider almost down to a second strings average. Riders get sacked all the time for under performing. It's just a shock that it's PK because he has such a great reputation. When Lakeside sacked Kaprzak a few years ago nobody could care less. This is no different, except that it involves an exceptionally popular rider.
cityrebel
PK is flying in Sweden tonight, but Davey watt is struggling big time.
marko
I think PK finished with something like 10+1 from 5 where as Watt failed to score from three and did not look even remotely like getting a point in any of those three rides, maybe he has come back too soon but he made himself fit almost seven days ago for the Lynn match which was subsequently rained off. PK showed tonight that he still has it, i don't think anyone ever doubted that but clearly some were not prepared to wait and find out if he could turn it around. Hammers had a great chance this season of finishing in a good position but i can see that falling rapidly from here on in especially as Pirates have to visit twice and we all know "watts" going to happen. Bagpuss
In the interests of balance I have to say that PK looked a million times better on telly tonight than he did last time.

Mjolnir
PK showed tonight that he still has it, i don't think anyone ever doubted that but clearly some were not prepared to wait and find out if he could turn it around. Don't forget though that "some" might in fact be PK himself - for all we know it was him that had decided that things weren't working out. A good meeting in Sweden also doesn't mean his scores would have dramatically improved for us. Perhaps I'm just trying to make myself feel better about the fact he won't be riding for us for the rest of the season! Kim could come in and really step up for us though - and to be fair, it's not like he needs to be scoring double figures to match PK this year. tocha
We are quite vulnerable just now and only 7 points ahead of Swindon in seventh place. Also, to put things in perspective, we have only five home meetings left, Eastbourne, Coventry, Belle Vue, Poole twice but nine more away. Of the teams below us only Eastbourne and Wolverhampton have ridden more at home than away but not by the same degree as us. Even Belle Vue with just 16 points could be a threat having almost completed their away programme with only two more fixtures but a staggering eleven meetings left to ride at home. Places to visit include Poole, Kings Lynn, Eastbourne plus Swindon twice. Therefore it is essential that we pick up points at Leicester this Saturday and Wolverhampton, Monday, whilst dropping no more points at home. Agreed it is a massive risk dropping PK for KIm at this stage of the season but surely 2 good heats on a Track in Sweden does not mean he has turned a corner in regards to current form.
