Lakeside 2014

He's a lakeside asset so we get to use him. What's the problem.

The problem is that if you none of these are your assets and you get 7th or 8th pick and you end up with rubbish

Clubs that have chosen to invest in young british riders should be applauded and should be given the oppertunity to use them

From Lewis website www.lewisbridger.com/news

I am delighted to announce that today I have agreed terms to return to the Lakeside Hammers for the 2014 speedway season. I am excited by the team that Jon and Stuart are putting together and to be part of their plans for the future. I would like to thank all of the Lakeside fans for their support and I will be doing my best to bring you the trophy that you deserve next season. Roll on 2014, I can't wait! #hammertime #RICO

Going to be brutally honest here - but we've heard this before.

And Lewis has been around in this sport long enough now to have demonstrated this apparent 'potential' - that everyone always seems to harp on about.

At the end of the day, there's an old saying that is pretty much true. "Actions speak louder than words".

I'd be more than happy for Lewis to make me eat mine but, if I'm brutally honest, I think it will be yet another season of mediocrity.

How do you make the system fairer? Given that most of these youngster have not yet ridden most of the EL tracks no-one really knows how they will settle and so a high last seasons average may not be a true reflection of next seasons on track scoring.

Well not have the team who were champions the best rider for a start ...not hard really .The moment you can used a asset then the draft system means nothing and becomes unfair .

Clear as mud Bryn....how comes you are not currently in the land of the kangaroo mate / cobber?

Was intending to be down under and wish I was SC but stupidly fell over (AND I was sober!) at Swindon resulting in replacement hip joint! Ah well there's always next year!
