Bears Vs Rebels 03/09/13 7:30pm

Recommended Posts

After following the exploits of other teams in the PLPO I didn't realise that the Rebels kick off their matches on Thursday away from home. Very surprised that nobody has started this topic as the Bears are sitting pretty and bouyed by an away win at Rye House. Hopefully the Rebels can do a bit better than the PL match and come away with some points in the bag. The heat leaders all had a good night last night for their EL clubs so hopefully they will be able to take that form up North. As far as I know it is Olly for Lewis again and a full house after that. I never know whether to follow the meeting on the updates site and put this kiss of death on the Rebels chances or just let fate take its course? Of course you Bears fans will be hoping for the former. This might be another tight one.

A Bears win taking all 3 points would be the best result for building tension re the outcome of the group.

However I would expect the Rebels to pick up a win and remove almost any doubt as to whom will reach the final.

Im going to go for a 50-40 win for the Bears, as Ully seems to have sorted out his gremlins, Wilco has got his racing head back on, and maybe just maybe Matty will show us what he can be capable off, then we can have the reliable skills of Micky, Hugh, Max, with Aaron being able to fend off all of the challenges from the big three of Zummezet.

Rebels will know whats required here, they need to go into this with a positive frame of mind. Nothings won untill its won.. Best of luck Garry Bish and the boys. on it..

Redcar are hopeful that Dyer will be fit, if not then they have Kevin Doolan on stand by as guest. for the Rebels, it was all looking good for Lewis to return to the side but in his last ride last night for Kings Lynn he took a tumble and aggravated his back injury which will keep him out of all of the remaining play off group matches at least although not sure if he'd be fit for the final (if we get there of course). Olly Greenwood guest in all of them.

Can't help with lineups I'm afraid. Going off Twitter Kevin Doolan is down to ride tonight, who for is another thing! I'm assuming it's for Dyer.

Been a cold, windy day so far with spells of light drizzle. Forecast is for much of the same for the rest of the day - would assume at this point it will go ahead but if rain gets any heavier then might be a problem.

Tonite I'll be part rebel just to see the jawdees bow out

I'm a bit surprised at you Mr.M.

I hope Redcar do well this Evening and I also hope Newcastle do well in their efforts in the damned Play Off Competition too. :t:

(I don't like the 'Play Offs - in case you didn't know).

I have a way to help you feel better about this WK.

In the GP threads you bang the drum for qualifers only.

So if you think of the league system and play off groups as qualifers then you get the rightful finalists.

You know the bitterness runs very deep between the two clubs and has done as far back as I can remember (the 70s) so I wouldn't of been surprised if the boot was on the other foot to hear it from the jawdee fans, you know theirs no love lost.

I get slated by said fans each time I post in a Newcastle or Redcar thread and wouldn't have it any other way ;)
