Brummies Website

Recommended Posts

Particularly as UK Billy Sollocks has had over a month to sort his plug ins and site security out. It was only Saturday that he spammed everybody's mail . Can you believe a webmaster has not got adequate security and when he is asked to review it does next to nothing. Can you believe that he was advised to review the plug ins and verify the code and was unable so allowed the website to run knowing that it would be suspended if it brought the network to a standstill and can you really get your head round the fact that the server is nothing to do with AP Media and is maintained by another contractor. Birmingham Speedway are well aware that their site has excessive amounts of code running but why let the facts spoil a good slagging.

You mean there was a perfectly logical and sensible reason for the site being taken down? Well there's a thing.

On what grounds would the BSPA seek to close the forum down and/or the owners bow to such a request? Surely if there is a libellous (slander refers to speech as far as i'm aware?) comment then they would ask for it to be removed and the mods would warn the poster or ban them if they have previous form for making such type of comments? Obviously there is also the legal route for a promoter to go down. The odd untoward comment wouldn't be enough to request for a whole site to be taken down?

On the same grounds that had the forum shut down for a few weeks in the bleak winter of the Bees/Panthers BSPA walk out.

It has already happened so the same applies. Hopefully forum users will remember to think before they post libelous/slanderous thoughts.

Crazy Jack, how is Alan Brown these days? Has he changed his name again? Is he still into Cycle Speedway like Roy Whiting and Greenie were?

I've googled this lot, what is the connection with Birmingham Speedway?

Roy Whiting rode cycle speedway for Crawley Eagles and subsequently went on to kidnap, assault and sadly end the life of Sarah Payne, Mick Green also rode for Crawley Eagles and there was some sort of appeal a couple of years ago from Sussex Police for information linked to Crawley Eagles and Alan Brown was a convicted time served offender known as the whistling rapist who also rode cycle speedway for Norwich and Coventry so why raise it on this thread?

It has nothing to do with the Brummies, I can assure you of that! I chose it as it's holding a flower. People keep thinking I'm a bloke :D

From now on I’m not going to let the inner workings of British Speedway affect me. I’m going to just “hopefully” continue in the roles I play, enjoying the racing, the riders I class as friends and the genuine people I have the privilege to work with.

To think a mere person with good intentions could make a difference was very naïve.

So if you see me getting frustrated in the future remind me of these 9 simple words….

DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME, YOU WON’T CHANGE A THING

Chris, you aren't the first to feel this way, and certainly won't be the last. You've worked hard to help the sport, now it's time to sit back and be a supporter until times change, if ever. Believe me, it's the best option. Remember, they can't ban those who have found better things to do and have already left.

I'm not sure but isn't it sad that whatever the disagreement members of the Birmingham staff feel the need to rush on here and Facebook to explain away what may have been a technical issue as almost a vendetta against Brimingham. Why could they not resolve the issue or take it up with the authorities without airing their washing in public? Very, very unprofessional if you ask me, act in haste repent at liesure.

If it is indeed the case that Chris has been banned for his protest then it is very, very sad. Surely those running the sport have more urgent matters to deal with than acting out of petty spite against one who was trying to improve their currently shoddy product and was clearly overcome with frustration for something that was going on behind the scenes?

That is why why asked the question earlier had they approached the relevant parties for an explanation first? :/

I'm not a Birmingham fan, but what I would say is sad, is this that this saga is detracting from the great achievement of the Brummies to reach the playoff final. That is what we are looking forward to watching come Monday.. :t:

Hallelujah..

At last someone has posted the actual reality.

I've just noticed that lady on AP Media's site is also the face of Brum's ticket office! Surely a conflict of interests!

Aha! i did suggest it was a stock photo when a certain member was on the verge of proposing to her lol.

Ooops (a deep gruff manly voiced 'ooops' by the way) i thought you were a bloke too, then again i hadn't noticed the flower.

Let's hope that it's a flower of peace that we can all hold aloft as a gesture of unity in these troubled times.

Then again, it looks like a daisy, so maybe not!

STRANGE, if that is the case then why haven't the other two parties - the BSPA and AP Media - issued a simple and brief statement to quash any suggestion of wrong doing? Also, they should be doing their utmost to ensure there is no further outage in the coming weeks because I am pretty sure the Brummies website may get 27 hits again.
