fish keeper
Im getting a bit worried about Proctor only 2 points scored again at Birmingham.
BWitcher
Let's wait and see how he gets on when the real stuff starts. It will take him a few weeks to find his feet I'm sure, but it's important we cover for him if so. Can't afford to start with a home loss or on the backfoot from the off.
T.N.T.
Ty may struggle a bit to start but if he is then riding anywhere other than #1 could destroy him. At #1 he will still have 2 races with Tai and last season they were brilliant together home and away. In his other two races he would partner Ricky who was impressive on Monday in the Olympique and if Ty is struggling, Ricky can step up to the plate. Its ok saying its good to start with a win in heat 1, but with Pawlicki and Tai together in heat 3 should be enough to counter that and I'm sure our reserves will be good in heat 2. Heat 1: 1 Proctor 2 Wells -v- 1 2 Heat 2: 6 Morris 7 Joe -v- 6 7 Heat 3: 3 Pawlicki 5 TAI -v- 3 5 Heat 4: 4 Jacob 6 Morris -v- 2 7 Heat 5: 1 Proctor 5 TAI -v- 3 4 Heat 6: 3 Pawlicki 4 Jacob -v- 1 5 Heat 7: 2 Wells 7 Joe -v- 4 6 Heat 8: 3 Pawlicki 4 Jacob -v- 2 3 Heat 9: 6 Morris 7 Joe -v- 6 7 Heat 10: 1 Proctor 2 Wells -v- 3 5 Heat 11: 3 Pawlicki 5 TAI -v- 1 4 Heat 12: 2 Wells 6 Morris -v- 2 7 Heat 13: 1 Proctor 5 TAI -v- 15 Heat 14: 4 Jacob 7Joe -v- 4 6 Heat 15: TAI / Pawlicki v Top Scorers Maybe swap Pawlicki to #5 and Tai to #3, but definatley Ty at #1 in my opinion. Well on Monday it was still to be decided as Pete Adams had a few concerns / thoughts on how things were best for each rider and was spending Tuesday and Wednesday to decide the line up for the Birmingham match ...... but may change it after the NZ GP break ? BWitcher
Proctor released from Somerset so he can now concentrate on yourselfs. That is perhaps the worst possible news for Wolves. No opportunity to build confidence in the PL. If he starts of struggling in the EL I see no way he will recover confidence.... and he is very much a confidence rider.

Ty needs to be riding regular to build up his confidence. Wonder if it was ty`s or Somersets idea?

I can't see it being Ty's idea, if it was he may as well give up now. Likely Somerset have seen he has not been riding well and taken action. TheSmiler
I don't agree with Somerset axing Ty, he hadn't even ridden a meeting for them AFAIK? He's been riding individual meetings against riders perhaps a little better than himself. I don't agree with that at all. I feel for the guy and hope he gets himself back up soon. I like Ty, he's a great guy.
waiheke1
Tbh if ty is going to have a poor start to the season, its probably best that its a very bad one, get him down quickly to second string where he should be able to pick up a lot of confidence boo s ting points. As third heat leader u were probably only expecting around 5 points per meeting anyway, so you are only likely to be down a few loints. I would be much more worried if tai or pawlicki, or your reserves, were looking like struggling. I think it does suggest that sides with a strong third heat leader (schlein janowski nicholls) are justifiably the favourites at yhis stage. T.N.T.
Wonder if it was ty`s or Somersets idea? This is the Text message I recieved at 8.55am on Friday. Good morning/evening to everyone who is a part of Ty Proctor Racing. Well at 10pm last night, 13 hours before Somerset's Press and Practice, I've been sacked. I'm extremley shocked and gobsmacked as Ive yet to even ride for them. Their reasoning is that due to coming back from injury they believe I'm not capable of scoring points for them and they have signed someone else. But on the brighter note, off to Poole this afternoon for Havvy's Farewell so more track time. Be in touch soon everyone and Thank You for your support - TY Yes he has seemed to struggle a bit in the early few days of the season but Ty is a very determined person and very passionate about his racing and I'm sure he could have done a great job for Somerset or any PL team as their number one aswell as riding for Wolves. Thi time last season there were many wondering (me included) if bringing Adam Skornicki back was a good idea after riding in only lower leagues elsewhere. However he proved everyone wrong and he soon returned to the rider we now he can be and I'm sure the same could be said of Ty this season. INCOGNITO
It's not great for a rider to be let down like Ty has been at Somerset. He will have spent considerable money to be able to ride in both leagues and to be dropped without even turning a wheel is disgraceful. Think Pete Adams is wise enough to realise that you can't put your top rider at number one and at number three Tai will certainly be more effective and Piotr Pawlick looks confident enough to cope with the number five race jacket and beat a few big names. Steve0
I think it's a disgrace that Ty has been replaced at Somerset before he has even turned a wheel for them. That is no way to treat a rider and Somerset should be punished - the same as when they dumped Morris who is ironically replacing Ty. I wish Ty a successful season for Wolves
SteveLyric2
Well sorry to say, but Ty did not look 'on it' at all at Havvy's meeting, even taking into account the tricky conditions. A gifted 1 point from his first race after Lindback fell followed by 2 zeros before being replaced in his final programmed ride. Well done to him for loaning a bike to Lindback for the meeting - but neither (bike or rider) performed well!!
Bagpuss
Its not ideal but Proctor has now struggled in four open meetings and I can't really blame Somerset for making the change. A bit hard nosed perhaps but they have a title to defend.

They should have given him 4 or 5 meetings to get back up to speed, it's a full three weeks before their first PL meeting..

Disgraceful behaviour after Ty stepped in to fill the void left by Doyle being unable to to take his PL place in the line up. Personally i hope Somerset have a stinking season. As for Ty i hope he proves all his doubters wrong and tell Somerset to go take a running jump if they ask again. Think it is real hard to judge form over a few open meetings.
