stratton
not surprised that you let Dan Greenwood go, Im pretty sure he doesnt have the equipment nor sponsors to ride EL tough on him but i dont think you had much choice in it. Nathan Greaves is a prospect only 16 i think, but he can gate and goes well on the bigger tracks, dont expect him to set the world on fire around eastie, Lakeside or that kind of track, but he could go well at your place, Poole, Coventry, Birmingham and Kings Lynn, he may need help and advice with set ups which hopefully he will get, to be honest, you have got a pretty useful young rider there possibly a season to early, but he has the chance lets hope you give him time.I did hear that some of the Scunny fans were impressed with the lad the other week. The main thing is that Nathan enjoys the experience Rosco and co will do there utmost to help him good luck to the lad.

hagonshocker
Has anyone actually seen Kennett and his performances for Birmingham this year?! One tactical race win at Blunsdon and he's wanted back.....hmmm...be careful what you wish out there in speedway land.....Fricke i like but i have to be honest i am wary about another double upper even though Nick is our priority Max wouldnt be and any fixture clashes with Edinburgh would take both he and Worrall out ..in any case still confident Gustaffson will average about 6 (not far off now) and would be harsh to dump Dakota on is backside after a few meetings where he has a bit of ill luck and rode his nads off
MattK
The benefits of a doubling-up rider is that they will have good quality equipment in the UK, as they are riding here regularly. Gustafsson on the other hand has little incentive to invest heavily in equipment, as he is only in the UK once or twice a week. I reckon Ostergaard or Lasse Bjerre are our best bets. What is Fricke averaging this season?

Fricke will be a great addition for someone, and while I don't think swapping Dak now is particularly fair, in his three meetings he is averaging 3.27. He's a better rider than that, especially when you take into account who he's up against. Klindt for example, averaged five in his five meetings and he still got binned. That's a pretty good point about Gustafsson, he should be far better than the 4.5 he's achieved this season. Fricke has averaged 5.8 (without BPs) in the PL riding at no 3, although it's 7.5 (without BPs) for his two Cov appearances. Gavan
i did put on here that North was a worse option than Klindt and got shot down in flames. North averaging just over 3 and Klindt was around 5. So am i right or wrong? I said North would not improve Swindon - he hasnt
Gresham78
Agree with Hagon S, do we really want Eddie back? Granted he started last season like a train but faded badly in the second half and he seems to have continued in that form with the Brummies. I think Simon will come good; had he settled for 2nd in his final ride at Coventry on Friday he would have finished on paid 7 which is fine for a 2nd string rider. Similarly Dak has come into the side at very short notice with little time to prepare so he should be given some time. Too many changes and you disrupt team morale

What is Fricke averaging this season? I'd take Gustafsson over either of those two. Unless there becomes enough scope to bring in Zengi then best off with what we have - signs of improvement from him are already there and barring a big mistake in 14 at Coventry his score would have been decent. Of the list you posted there is nobody on there that would improve the team. Edited to add - Greaves looks a decent prospect but one for the future...certainly don't expect him to score points from the off, but if he's on the pace and maybe nicking 2 or 3 points from the reserve races then it's a step in the right direction, I hope fellow Robins fans give the lad a chance Edited May 11, 2014 by Reliant Robin

I agree, apparently as a second string he will be SOO much better, averaging 7-8 points!!! I don't think so.
A ORLOV
I agree, apparently as a second string he will be SOO much better, averaging 7-8 points!!! I don't think so. If he did average 7 or 8 points the trouble then would be that he would go ahead of Nick in the averages and be a heat leader again where he would be beaten by most other heat leaders in the league. Give Simon a chance for a few weeks and if a change needs to be made we need someone who can put in a reasonable performance as a heat leader, as the likely hood would be that they and Nick would keep changing places. van wolfswinkel
Would like to see an in-form Edward Kennett back, remember seeing him and Steady taking on the best in the world a few years ago at Cardiff. He was so good they even named a local Wiltshire river after him! Get yer finger out Edward... was in the top 10 of the averages in the first half of last year. North averaging just over 3 and Klindt was around 5. So am i right or wrong? I said North would not improve Swindon - he hasnt It's a fair bet you never witnessed Klindt riding for us??? You are basing your opinion on figures alone Klindt looked miles off the pace when missing the gate and not at any point mixed it with anyone...North on the other hand has AND looks more on the pace when behind plus once he has actually had a run of metings without falls and ef's then we can judge...at the moment your opinion is worthless ..btw since he signed we have taken 6 points from 3 completed meetings which would have been 9 thanks to the Birmingham abandonment and the team spirit has improved significantly.....compared to 4 from the first 5 meetings......not improved us...go figure....facts arent always based on figures and one of the meetings he has rode in (on his worst track) we were without Batchelor and Worrall so a bonus point may not have been a far fetched outcome....now havent you got your hatred towards Poole to concentrate on? van wolfswinkel
Great gesture from Swindon Council to name three roads around the new stadium after legends Kilby Holloway Richardson. Perhaps they could fit in Adams Briggs Ashby Broadbanks Crump Rosco Hewlett Keen Jones etc., if enough roads are built. Great news about these three legends getting streets named after them, they all gave us great pleasure over the years and will never be forgotten. Crazy robin
He could gate Crazy robin, but fell alot and he did ride in a WTC final.! Ain't it funny when you look how good British riders were then & how average Polish one's were. Bit different on both things now.
