EnglishRoundabout
Same here which is why im hoping hes elsewhere lol. X Shame that he is such a controversial character. I like watching Barker ride. All action trier. Trouble is, I reckon he may have already reached his peak. Someone will snap him up for sure as he will be a solid middle order rider averaging around 6.5.
noggin
Love him at Coventry. Really hoping hes a bee in 2014. Guess an asset exchange of Zengi for Kennett is out the question. Maybe Robins could take Barker off our hands. You won't find any Robins fans who wants kennett back, have a feeling Zengi wont either, so there's two of your team sorted,
mac1
It seems very strange to build a care home close to a speedway track, but it's by no means a new idea. Where did your info come from? If it's not secret! No, no secret. We received pre tender docs from the architects to put in bid proposals. As we know, could happen, might not..lol ..I'm sure it will in time, whether its 2014 or later, but it will happen. Agrotron
Oh it'll happen. I just hope the Club is in a strong enough position financially to have some say in the development. We, and speedway in general, are looking somewhat vulnerable to being swept aside as unimportant. That's the thing wasn't Swindon struggling to pay riders etc
Derick
You won't find any Robins fans who wants kennett back, have a feeling Zengi wont either, so there's two of your team sorted, This is a pretty sweeping statement, I'd have him back so even if I'm the only one then you are wrong. I don't understand this continuous vitriol against Ed. There seems to be a very selective blame culture at Swindon, Hans, Troy, Nick M & even Peter have gone missing at times and let the team down but lots of people always want to blame Kennett, he's a second string, he's slightly increased his average, I don't really know what people expect, he was in the team as a six point second string & that is the job he did. At times he was poor & other times he was a match winner, exactly what is expected of riders outside the top
EnglishRoundabout
I'm with you there Derick. If you look back to the start of the 2013 season, we hoped that Edward would improve on his previous campaign at Coventry . He did this. He was drafted in really to replace Steady who's away performances were declining rapidly. It was thought also, that he could bring some much needed middle order power on the smaller tracks. He did do this also, with a couple of good performances at Lakeside and Birmingham, but some fine performances at some of the bigger tracks, notably Peterborough where he has a poor recent record. The frustrating thing with Ed is his lack of consistency and the thought process that his performance in a meeting tends to tail off. He has shown what he can do by his early season performances especially at Blunsdon where he reeled off several consecutive double figure scores. I would look to keep him. Along with Gustafsson, Doyle, Morris and Kildemand.
MattK
I think our biggest problem next year may be finding riders who don't want to double-up. I can't see Doyle and Morris wanting to ride full time in a watered down Elite League and they could be our two heatleaders!
Catalan
Can see a problem if both riders ride together in Premier League.
Woz01
Horton has said that its on the agenda at the AGM to have a 40 match league season next year with one side coming up. If that's the case no doubling up next season.

MattK
How can you have a <40 points limit and no doubling-up? There wouldn't be enough 4 and 5 point riders to go round.

Reliant Robin
Will they be negotiating the transfer fee today as they'll all be together The newspaper article doesn't mention it, so I wouldn't know In all seriousness, with talk of the lower points limit etc I doubt both would be able to fit in at which point they are more likely to run with their own asset I'd imagine

mdmc82
If the rumoured 38pts comes in to effect then including Hans & Kildemand, who else would you have room for in the team?
MattK
If the rumoured 38pts comes in to effect then including Hans & Kildemand, who else would you have room for in the team? Morris, two 4-pointers and then me and you at reserve. We can only fit one of Andersen, Kildemand or Doyle.
