Robins 2014

Well done to Doyley and Chris Holder but i would have thought Batchelor will be disappointed with 4th.

Apparently he was pushed off line by Jason who gated last in the final and powered past Troy nearly knocking him over, Troy not happy about it.

or perhaps not if the rumours on visa problems are true?

Jason has rode in Britain for how many seasons in both leagues, has appeared in the World Team Cup for his country, has always attained a decent average & doesn't have a criminal record so how would he be refused a work permit is simply ridiculous.

knowing beaurocracy (but probably being unable to spell it!), it could well be a question of paper work and the right coloured forms!

Nope, Doyley won't improve anymore that last season. Batch is the better bet.

maybe Doyle is close to making that final leap into a rider who can push towards a gp place in the future. I'm not sure Batch has more improvement and I reckon they will average roughly the same. Good showing from Woodward to and Jack Holder scored 9 and was the only rider to beat Doyle. Apparently Poole are lining him up on a 3 to replace Lee Smart lol

A sponsors certificate (visa) can be issued anything from one to three years, I think.

Last year Sam Masters was unsuccessful in getting his sponsors certificate because his previous one had expired. A new regulation meant that he then had to wait 12 months before being able to re-apply. This new rule only came to light when Sam made his application.

Any riders who had a sponsors certificate that has already expired before applying for a new one may now be similarly affected. Given that most certificates expire either at the end of the season or the end of the year it would be impossible for some riders to apply for a new certificate if they haven't signed for a club. An application by a rider has to be endorsed by a sponsor here. If a rider doesn't know where he's riding how can he apply?

Don't think Batch will be happy with that. My bruv who lives in Adelaide, goes to the Gillman round every year. Was chatting to Batch and Leigh last year (both signed his Robins programme board). Really wanted to win it and did, overhauling Doyle in the final.

Not as good without Wardo(especially), Watto, Schleiny, or Kid Morra though? Always a contingent of Brits fans there, and a few Robins fans, from here, and living in Oz.

Rosco says in today's Adver that season tickets are looking good for 2014 which is strange because all the people I know have said to a person that they will not be renewing their's so wonder if this is just a bit of spin.

I'm still waiting to get a response to my e-mail about a half season ticket as never been worth me getting a season ticket as miss meeting due to holiday's etc.

Where have you sent the email to? I sent an email in last week and had a response within the hour, so may want to make sure you are using the correct email address if it's been a while

I'm told that Nick had transport issues and at short notice was unable to arrange transport between the Brisbane area and the 3 meetings.

You were told, or you read??? Think it would be the latter..
