Steve0
Here are some tweets from the Adver reporter Andy Warren Andy Warren@AndyWarren_1m Sheff and Glasgow both interested but a move to either almost certainly mean he has to leave Swindon. Not many Elite spots left. Leicester? Sheffield would definitely be a problem as they have the same race night as Swindon but Glasgow are a Sunday night track and that would preclude him riding in Poland not Swindon. Gavan
Crazy Robin there is only 1 Poole troll and the whole forum knows who it is. When someone spouts rubbish and disagrees with the majority and is basically just looking to aggravate its trolling. Back on topic Swondon will be there or there abouts come the end of the season

Theres been talk of Sheffield changing race nights under their new promotion, so may not be an issue. Agree about Glasgow/Poland though. With the Morris family very close to the Rossiters, I can't really see Nick going to another EL track!!
Steve0
A Happy and prosperous New Year to you all (Robins and other speedway fans) - here's to a great 2014 Edited December 31, 2013 by Steve0

Nick would have a problem riding in the away Premier Lge meetings on Thursday's though & that would be a problem for him on a earning scope & his team who would have no claim on him. stevebrum
Following the announcement of Gustafsson, Nicolai's signing was a no-brainer! He was the highlight of our 2011season - let's hope he's got his mojo back because last season was a major disaster. He has the ability to bounce back and I hope he does. He could easily put a couple of points on his average - and I'm sure that's what KL were looking for this season. So looking at the team (1-5): Kildemand - should continue his improvement and develop into a recognised #1 and at least maintain his current average or increase it slightly Morris - if he rides for us (and I hope he does) should be good to up his average by at least a point Gustafsson - a change if track should help him push on to the next level and should up his average by at least a point Klindt - could easily put 2 points on his average if he gets his head clear or could flop Batchelor - will make the step up this year and increase his average in this weakened league So all 5 have improvement in them but it's on the track where it counts - not on paper. This team certainly won't have the favourites tag this year (and that's not a bad thing) but could be in the fight for a play-off place. If I'm honest ALL teams seem pretty average this year so the title will be there for the taking for the team with the biggest hunger to win and luck in steering clear of injuries - oh and peaking at the right time - no point in finishing top if you run out of steam in the play-offs! Hopefully Nic can get his career back on track. He should do OK, but still a bit of a risk in 1-7. A risk worth taking tho.
MattK
Nick would have a problem riding in the away Premier Lge meetings on Thursday's though & that would be a problem for him on a earning scope & his team who would have no claim on him. But that's no different to when Somerset signed him or for riders like Ricky Wells, Doyle and Richie Worrall.
flagrag
Now the owners at Sheffield have been confirmed as the local consortium I think the race night will remain as Thursday it was if it had gone to Alex Edgberg dad when it would have changed as obviously wanted to use his son and Linus Eklof both of who are signed to ride in Sweden on Thursday. So if Nick does want premier league Sheffield seems his only option and then a move to Leicester in the elite league.
A ORLOV
N Klindt rode for us in 2011 and ended up with an average of about 6.5 riding most of the season as a heat leader. He has had a couple of bad seasons but if he can get back to anywhere near his previous form he could turn out to be a good signing.
EnglishRoundabout
The Swindon "also ran Excalibur Robins". Has a nice ring about it don't you think? Bit cold for fishing Shov......
Chris
Klindt's bottle has gone. Not many speedway riders come back from losing that. Can't see him doing anything different from last couple of seasons.
Crazy robin
But that's no different to when Somerset signed him or for riders like Ricky Wells, Doyle and Richie Worrall. Jason will ride for Somerset if there's a fixture clash & agree with what you're saying but it does seem to be a major block for Nick. Double Up
Surprised Klindt was announced before the situation with Nick is resolved, which it isn't. With two places to fill there are many more options than just having one, if Nick is to move on. Both Larssen and Sundstrom are without places here but would now be ruled out of any reshuffle. Rosco hasn't left himself any wriggle room at all. He's either very confident the situation will be resolved or taking a massive risk. But then I noted his use of the word 'IF' which you appeared to ignore.
g13webb
When he signed for the Stars last year, I was initially impressed, thinking he could recapture the form he showed when at Swindon. But was so disappointing. went quickly to reserve berth and stayed there. Showed little appetite of getting involved and was happy dropping off at the back. Don't know what the future will hold for him. Obviously had a confidence problem. Sincerely hope it works out for you Swindon fans, but I for one am not convinced. Steve0
When I saw Klindt last year it was obvious he had lost his bottle - he throttled off going into the corners and generally didn't look like he wanted to mix it with the other riders any more. He then had a spell in the PL and his scores improved so, hopefully, he is over whatever his mental block was last year. He is a risk - he will either be great or a flop and we'll find out once the season starts. I think it will be the former and we will see the old Nicolai back (with further improvements)

I did say if forever, lets see how he goes. I am sure that if he does not perform to his past ability Rosco will do the same as Matt does and find an alternative. There are a few riders in the PL that are worth keeping an eye on who do not have an EL d/u position.
