Grachan
It would appear that Nick Morris has posted the following on Facebook: "Big news coming gonna be some upset speedway fans but have to do what's best for myself." Wonder what that's about!

A ORLOV
Joining Poole ? Edited December 23, 2013 by A ORLOV
mdmc82
Joining Poole ? Wondered the same although would be trouble waiting to happen having Ward and Morris in same team. Dont think Nick's dad would be very pleased if that was the case

Woz01
Not according to his report in the Adver http://www.swindonadvertiser.co.uk/sport/10894429.Birks_deflated_after_Robins_back_out_of_2014_deal/?ref=mr Thanks for that, just thought it was a possibility. I didnt realise he made it to a PL number 1!
A ORLOV
I hope Nicks comments are just about a PL position.
proud panther
Think Morris could be heading for Poole & Sheffield. Rosco couldn't complain if that's the case after the way he has just treated Birks.
500cc
Joining Poole ? Joining Poole ? I wondered that as a possibility along with THJ, but it goes 0.09 over the limit assuming Morris is no longer allowed a reduction.
EnglishRoundabout
Had a feeling something like this would happen as soon as Somerset released him. I hope I am wrong in speculating but if the kid goes, that's going to leave a huge hole in the team and if as thought he was likely to put a point on his average next season, the hole is going to be mighty difficult to fill.
Crazy robin
Why are things kept so cloak & dagger as with what Nick is saying the only conclusion can be that he is leaving Swindon as why would him signing for a Premier Lge club cause fans to be upset?. It really does do my head in.

Actually, if Morris has signed a contract and has changed his mind - he shouldn't be allowed to ride in the EL this season for any other team - as contracts are legally binding! Birks hasn't been treated badly at all - it's a numbers game and he hasn't signed a contract as far as I'm aware.

They are self employed contractors and as been proved in the past will ride where they want to ride. I hope, for the promoters sake, that the contracts aren't legally binding or there'd be a few suits for loss of earnings from riders dropped mid season and unable to get fixed up elsewhere.

As I said if a rider reneges on a contract then the said rider should be prevented from riding elsewhere in the EL - if not, the floodgates will open! If it is Swindon that is impacted and Poole sign him then it is Adrian Miedsinski all over again - but worse! A contract of employment precludes you from working for anyone else for a period of time. I do hope that Morris doesn't turn his back on Swindon Edited December 23, 2013 by Steve0
