SCB
Unfortunately the Kid Morra scuffle with big Worrall at BV affected his scoring on Wednesday. Don't think there are any riders on a better run of form in EL at present. So thats how to stop him scoring? We'll set Garrity on him before the meeting in the play-offs then
stratton
Thought there was going to be a memorial for Rico as well. At least the three legend have roads named after them in the new housing development. There was a big crowd for the first meeting but since then the attendances has been abysmal. Used to stage it on a Sunday as well. Unfortunately the Kid Morra scuffle with big Worrall at BV affected his scoring on Wednesday. Don't think there are any riders on a better run of form in EL at present. I hope the other two lads get a mention,i know Kilb would not of minded being the bloke he was all three are never to be forgotten by the robins fans

EnglishRoundabout
Bearing in mind who this meeting is remembrance of I hope they allow tape touching and blinding rollers! Rollers grachan? I think not! Timing and pure reactions was Kilb. From memory, he often led by three bike lengths going into the first bend. No rollers. He left that to Mauger. Grachan
Bob never rolled? Seriously? He used to go straight through the tapes every other match. Rolling starts were part of the game back then.

stevebrum
If Eastbourne had suddenly won the required away matches, would have been the biggest fix ever. If they had won ANY of their remaining away fixtures it would have been the biggest shock going.

Peter Moore of Ipswich and a number of other clubs, was without doubt the best starter. Edited September 13, 2014 by Aces51

Out comes Bob for his first race. Green light goes on. 1-2-3 and straight through the tapes he goes. It got the biggest cheer of the night! Then they let him back in anyway and he was about 5 yards clear by the time he got to the first bend. www.youtube.com/watch?v=NjbA23ACtsw Edited September 13, 2014 by grachan
EnglishRoundabout
Bob never rolled? Seriously? He used to go straight through the tapes every other match. Rolling starts were part of the game back then. Maybe my memory has faded in time but as a youngster I used to sit on the iron railings right next to the start gate and marvel at Kilb's lightening fast starts. I don't recall him rolling, but certainly some tape breaking. Even more prone to this away from home. Ivan Mauger however superb rider that he was, I recall continually rolling back and forth before getting a jet propelled 'flyer'. That said and as Sidney pointed out, it never did him any harm long term!

BuzzCagney
I understood the meeting name was going to also be a tribute to Malc mad wellie Holloway but agree with what you say. Bob was one of the few riders that I am sure could ride under the tapes before they went up at the start of the race. He had the timing of the tapes going up to a tee in knowing how long each ref held the tapes. Bob told a story that when he was doing a grasstrack meet one time he noticed the pipe smoking start marshall would grip his lit pipe tighter the moment that he would release the tapes! I thought that was hysterical! Swindon seems a far more dull place without Kilb, and indeed Wellie, about.
johnno4
Was that the same Killer who scored 2 at BV on Wednesday and cost us the match ? Edited September 14, 2014 by johnno4

A ORLOV
Two big meetings coming up for Peter Kildemand this week. Fri SEC final round at Czestochowa, Peters Polish track. This is being shown on Eurosport Sat GP Challenge where the top three get into next years GPs. Not being shown on tv. After his performance in last nights GP he must stand a good chance in both meetings. Also a good result for Batch last night who is now 8th in the table.
