hagonshocker
Sadly I don't think Klindt would fire in the PL where racing can often be closer, as was the case at Scunthorpe last year. Nice guy who doesn't like traffic. Unsure of North but...Rosco needed to send out a message to all his team because apart from Stevie Worrall they are ALL under performing. Bit harsh on Batchelor who has scored over 40 points plus bonus points in 4 meetings...probably his best start to a Swindon season since...well ever!
spikethebike
I feel sorry for Nicolai after reading his comments on the Adver web. I still stick by Rosco 100% as Rosco knows what is best for Swindon Speedway. I hope Nicolai gets the EL deal he is looking for. I feel sorry for him losing his job but really at number 2 you should be scoring more and beating NL riders (with ease) and also seeing off the opposition second strings on your own track. Bottom line is the new scoring system can more easily mask deficiencies for under performing second strings. Although there may have been some improvement to come, and some will feel the axe was wielded prematurely, on balance of this seasons performances and the last season's effort it feels that Swindon made the best call. Crazy robin
Having just read Nicolai's 2 articles in the local paper he certainly doesn't disguise his dissapointment at being released but fails to mention how many times he's been beaten by a draft rider & that is the main reason for his release. Yes he's right that he's been made a scapegoat for the teams poor start but with 2 home defeats already something had to be done as fans would drift away & it was always going to be a straight choice between him or Simon. Bit harsh on Batchelor who has scored over 40 points plus bonus points in 4 meetings...probably his best start to a Swindon season since...well ever! Was still on the end of an 8-1 though vs. Poole & that's not the first time it's happened to Troy on his home track.

Gustafson has been beaten by Compton, Sarjeant and Wright. So using your criteria maybe he has a point?

So using your criteria maybe he has a point? Agree totally & I imagine it was purely down to Dakota's average being closer to Nicolai's that he was the one to go. Swindon should've kept Doyley & either Killer or Batch as I can't see any improvement average wise in either of them or Nick really under the new format whereas Doyley has. One things for sure I imagine Simon has been told that he either ships up or ships out.

Doyle has been very impressive this season but it is easy in hindsight. I still think this Swindon team will improve as the season goes on. I think Doyle would have been a starter but he wanted to do PL (with Somerset) and Mirris would also be a D/U for the same team so we couldn't have both. As you say, with hindsight, things might have been different

SteveLyric2
Morris and Batch in riding order switch - not sure if that's permanent or just for the Eastie fixture this evening!! Edited April 24, 2014 by Skidder1
A ORLOV
Permanent switch Skidder. I am not so sure, see how it goes tonight. There could be a case for switching heat leaders for home and away matches
Crazy robin
Same line up at Lakeside tomorrow night I think. Troy isn't riding tomorrow

After his shoulder operation Doyley has continued to improve - Robins loss and poor mid and short term planning. I know & have always found it strange but then again I guess they've had the loan fees for him. I know Bjarne in for tomorrow night I was meaning to say that Morris will be riding at No.3 again tomorrow night. Was only joking:-)

So one poor ride hardly makes a bad start to the season....forget though that you struggle to find anything to be optimistic about.....

Did I say he had a bad start to the season & quoting facts of how many times Troy has been on the end of a tactical ride has nothing to do with optimism. Don't let that get in the way though will you!!!!

Don't let that get in the way though will you!!!! Actually you did question his start by snipping about the tactical ride so stick that in your pipe moany moanerson!!!!...clearly you dont rate Batchelor and would imagine you cant wait for his next fail against the tactical ride..oh btw in reverse i can recall the likes of Crumpie failing for Australia when ON a tactical and to that matter Darcy Ward too....sometimes that extra pressure works against you or you are just plain unlucky.....but i guess in your eyes that makes them s**t! You read in the post what you want & coming from you who can moan with the best of them I find that ironic. Have always liked Troy as he is 100% in every race & as you say has had a great start to the season so by just pointing out 1 ride doesn't change that.
EnglishRoundabout
What about Norbert Koscuich? He would have been a decent shout to replace Klindt surely? At least he would score points at home! Always does well at Blunsdon.
LagutaRacingFan
Norbert is crap and him riding at 3 or 4 at away tracks will be a recipe for disaster. A rider Swindon should consider is Lebedev, A huge talented Latvian but I'm not sure what sort of equipment he will bring over but If he has decent kit then He's a snip at 4.50 Jepsen Jensen would be the dream signing for most teams but He looks unlikely to make a return, MJJ and Noel Gallagher both want nothing to do with the UK and Liam Gallagher respectively. On a more realistic note, Ulrich Oostergaard wouldn't be a bad signing, He's racking up decent scores in the PL.
