Robins 2014

Recommended Posts

How do Robins fans feel about there 2014 side?

Fairly happy about Troy and Peter and Nick, will have to see if Simon and Nicolai get back to what they are capable of. Will also wait till reserves have had a few meetings to see how the new race format works out, and how they cope.

I should think you would be. Nicolai could be your problem..

Be careful as nobody else on the forum is allowed to have contacts in speedway apart from Starman & you know how he likes to keep that to himself(not).

Does not KKS claim to be in contact with all managers and certain riders on a regular basis.

To be honest I can't tell them apart these days as the posts from Starman are getting more bizarre with each passing day.

He might be in the know but I just wish he would mention it a bit more:-)

Interestiing interview with Peter Kildemand:

http://www.flicwiltshirenews.com/Sport/Speedway/Kildemand-wants-to-end-career-with-the-Robins.aspx#.Usu1L9JdV8F

Sounds like he is very much committed to the Robins and determined to improve his average again this coming season.

Glad he is committed to the EL - very exciting rider.

Interesting speedway snippet in today's Sun - presumably by Russell Lanning - and so expect it to appear in this week's SS, that Nick Morris is at the centre of a tug of war between Leicester and Swindon in the EL and Sheffield in the PL!!!

Make of that what you will......!?

I would be very disappointed if Nick did not ride for Swindon, but if the above is happening it comes as no surprise.

If this happens 'A ORLOV " i will be totally p..... off i can totally understand Nick,s position though. He wants to ride meeting,s progress and earn a living. But to own two assets in Doyley and Nick and maybe have neither riding for us is a gutter what is the point of building up your assets.?Last year in the second half of the season Nick was one of the most exciting riders of the season some brilliant moves at the abbey.

Well let's be honest every rider says this at the start of the season, it's only when the reality sets in or they have problems they just bring 1 bike to a meeting.

Surprised Klindt was announced before the situation with Nick is resolved, which it isn't.

With two places to fill there are many more options than just having one, if Nick is to move on. Both Larssen and Sundstrom are without places here but would now be ruled out of any reshuffle. Rosco hasn't left himself any wriggle room at all. He's either very confident the situation will be resolved or taking a massive risk.

Said this a week ago.

Once the spring weather arrives, I am sure my enthusiasm will return..

Like yourself Sid, I'm not too bothered about winning anything - I just want a good evening's entertainment for my money

The new format for 2014 will be interesting and I hope it works without too much controversy further down the line.

Pleased that Killer and Batch are back and hope Nicolai and Simon along with the reserves do well - but most of all I hope Nick Morris remains a Robin for the season as he is great to watch and will surely increase his average this year..

THINK Russell Lanning works for the Daily Mail compiling a lot of their sports stats... Phil Lanning is on the Sun in Glasgow

Come on people Nick will not be riding for Swindon in 2014 as there is no places left for him in the Premier Lge except a Thursday night track & the lad needs to ride in both leagues.

I just hope Swindon have other options ready & it's not Zengota.

Still surprised they have signed the other 6 riders when this seems far from settled & more diss appointed that Swindon fans have heard NOTHING from the actual club.
