T.N.T.
No idea how/why Doyle is still in our plans?? Morris and Doyle are both riding for Somerset next year. Or would we have first dibs on Morris and Doyle when there's a fixtures clash because we own them? Somerset have first call on Jason as they declared/signed him first!!! It should be parent club have 1st call, so IF he rides for Swindon they are senior. The Premier League team gets priority over the rider regardless of who owns them. With both reserves possibly being involved in a PL team, having more than one more doubling up rider could be a concern. It also points towards a major concern if an EL team has two riders that also ride for the same PL team and can't remember it ever happening before ..... if it is allowed in the first place ? Can't see any team having two riders therefore it does seem to point towards Jason Doyle riding elsewhere in the Elite League and with Coventry and Belle Vue already out of the equation, anting away from Birmingham and Lakeside riding on a friday, you would have to say it's more likely he is at Wolves or a return to Poole. Steve0
I don't understand how Doyley is still able to ride in the PL and double-up!! Surely his EL average should prevent this now?
Grachan
The Premier League team gets priority over the rider regardless of who owns them. I read somewhere on here that it has now changed and if the rider is an asset of the EL club then the EL club get first choice in a fixture clash. It was only a post on here, though, so who knows if it's true! Doubling up heat leaders is not a good option in my opinion, although apparently Doyle is still a possibility according to the Adver. That would make for a strong top 3 if PK is also retained! And leave just 8.24 for the other 2. Anyway, Troy Bachelor now signed as skipper. http://www.swindonadvertiser.co.uk/sport/10859457.SWINDON_ROBINS__New_skipper_Batchelor_vows_to_lead_by_example/ Edited December 6, 2013 by grachan

Steve0
Getting a bit worried about Kildemand! He was the first announced rider the last two years and it's either him or Doyley now. Good to see Batch back for another year - as captain and on loan - RESULT! If I'm honest I didn't expect him back as I thought it would be PK and Doyley leading the team - fingers crossed that PK signs! I understand that but my point was why he is allowed to race in both with his high EL average. Surely Scott Nicholls and Bomber should be allowed too - as they have lower averages!

Surely Scott Nicholls and Bomber should be allowed too - as they have lower averages! It's a case of once your in the PL you can't be kicked out. You could be a three time current world champion and continue to ride in the PL. I think you get one years grace to, so if you drop out of the PL you have one year to return with "protection". Whether that still is the case with rolling averages I'm not certain.
leighrico
The way Batch is talking in his interview it suggests he's the No1 next year (talks about going out and winning Heat 1 and setting the tone). If that's the case then Killer won't be in the team because he has a higher average.

A ORLOV
Batch back in the team and as captain is fine, now waiting to see if Mads is returning and wanting to hear news about PK and Jason. Grachan
I don't think we can fit both PK and Mads into the side. Are we really about to dump Kildemand? A much bigger deal than not having Jason Doyle if you ask me. These are the averages on BSPA site. Are these final? Bachelor 8.21 Mads 6.97 Morris 5.90 Makes: 21.08 That leaves 10.92 PK is 8.25. That leaves 2.67. Can't be done. Can't be done they said. Doyle at 7.30 leaves 3.62. Enough for someone like Ashley Birks or Mickey Dyer. frigbo
Leaving PK out through choice would be madness. I can only assume he is either asking for a lot of folding or been tapped up elsewhere.

Get the impression there has been a bit of shuffling this week, with Swindon one of the most affected. That last spot does look difficult to fill though. Problem with using the 10.92 on two second strings is availability of suitable riders and the lack of top end strength (i.e. for Heat 15 there are more options with Doyle included, without the strength in depth is probably outweighed by a weaker top end). Too me this team really need Kildemand, but looks like he's not returning.

theblueboy
I am reading it as no PK either. Who is going to be the new fence inspector at the Abbey? A hugely talented and exciting rider but, unfortunately, it is looking increasingly unlikely he will be in the team this season. Mads has declared he is not at the Stars so one can infer that will be a done deal. Peter Ljung talking about possibly coming back to UK. I think he's on 5.6. Would leave something decent to work with.
