Robins 2014

So more matches and hopefully more continuity and you're still not happy!

Quite neutral on the changes to be honest until we see it in action. Definitely wanted more matches. Just having a doubling up rider in your team maybe more of an issue this year than last.

Quite right too - best man for the job!!! :t:

Don't agree Skidder. He is a motivator for sure, but definitely not International manager material. He is 'still learning' according to Rosco himself. He still makes elimentary mistakes in my opinion.

Cook and Adams are far more astute.

. Cook for me is in no way international management material in my book, Adams is a legend in my eyes and i have total respect for the man.I would be surprised if he would take the job now as i believe this job has to be a ten year plan.Rossiter is my choice by quite a long way he has made mistakes like everyone but he has paid his dues.I hope he gets the job and maybe he gets a person who he picks alongside who he trusts and respects who could help him along the way a tough road ahead. Courtesy Jack FM Swindon:

The Swindon Robins will have a new promoter at Blunsdon next season to help Alun Rossiter.

Peter Toogood is back at the club to replace Gary Patchett.

Rosco told JACK fm it's a good move to bring back someone with previous experience at the Abbey Stadium. He said: "He's got a very good name within the sport. He brings the club a little bit of stability, which it's needing, and hopefully bring some other people onboard as well."

What's happened to Patchett, anyone know if he is leaving the sport? With his connections with the Brummies, could he be considering buying out the promoting rights at Perry Barr. He is not the most popular man at Perry Barr, but give him his due, he put together a very competitive Brummies team when he was in charge.

Said on the Adver Website earlier that Patch is staying as co-owner however that article has now been re-written without that line.

Swindon Speedway really need to put out a statement to clear the air as the lack of clarity is stinking the place out at present.

Toogood at least has some communication skills, unlike Patchett. I remember once being on a coach for an away match at Peterborough. We got a right hammering, but Toogood actually took the time to get on the coach before the long trip home to talk to the fans. Little things like that make all the difference, and actually really matter to supporters.

There needs to be a significant improvement in the communication area between the club and the fans and I am sure Toogood will 'grasp the nettle'. Rosco could learn from him too. Instead of being defensive to criticism he could actually have more humility. He needs to have that in abundance if he's applying for the GB job!!

I remember Pete buying me a pint at Brandon one time! He didn't know me from Adam! Top bloke- and not just cos he bought me a pint. Though that definitely helped!

He also met up with a group of Swindon supporters in Denmark when we had a trip to the GP. Very friendly individual.

Rosco should stay how he is , as I said who cares about being defensive with his outstanding record others need to learn from him .

I think Rosco has come on tremendously as a person and a manager over the last couple of years, He did, at times, get over defensive and did get a bit caught up with his ego at times.

He has also learnt that he is part of the team, win OR lose, which was not something that came easily to him. He did have the habit of holding his hands up and saying 'i don't ride the bikes'. Ok, thats fine. Then stand back when the plaudits are being handed out for success.

As I say, that was how he used to be. He's come on since then. The Team GB job? Sure, why not.
