A ORLOV
Peter Kildemand 8.25 Jason Doyle 7.30 Nick Morris 5.90 21.45 leaves 10.55 for two riders These two would fit Mads 6.97 28.42 Ashley Birks 3.06 31.48 or a rider up to 3.58. Not sure if Ashley will be fit by March. There are a few Peterborough riders who could fit if Mads wanted to stay at KL but would this mean we gain the village idiot as a team supporter. There are only 10 NL clubs, it will be interesting to see who gets who. Does anyone know any National League riders? Darryl Ritchings is a Swindon asset but probably not ready yet. I hate to say it, but I think we'll need a proper #1, which would suggest Andersen, Batchelor or maybe even Zagar in place of Kildemand.
Anzum
Looks like the reserves are going to be drafted at a meeting in December. In the US football the team finishing last gets first choice etc.

Could have Hans or Batch in place of Killer Matt but two points, one we would have to pay a loan fee to someone for either of those two and two, Killer has improved each season. Hans and Batch will both be free agents if Peterborough doesn't find a buyer. And I'm not sure Kildemand is #1 calibre unfortunately. Frost may own their contracts and not Peterborough or they may be taken over by the BSPA from Peterborough if no one takes over the club, any way lets see which way Rosco goes. Bit ironic about Peterborough but have recently signed a contract with a company who I saw today are using Readypower machinery. Crazy robin
All I can say is it's going to be bloody scarey watching National League riders, who are clearly nowhere near ready riding in the top league & I just hope there are not serious accidents like the one involving Ricky Ashworth. That is not a slant on that rider involved either. Have just seen Rosco having a pint with Martin Satchell & Barry Duke so assume one of them will be coming out of retirement in 2014. MattK
I'm sure I saw him heading up the turbo twins this year so I'd say he is a contender! I don't deny he can beat anyone on his day, but do you want to be relying on him to regularly win heats 13 and 15 and take crucial tactical rides without a trip to the airfence? lnoone
I have to say that the AGM outcome is only 'tinkering at the edges' and doesn't address the serious issues facing speedway as a whole. I see nothing that puts the customer first with expectations of actually growing the sport. The facilities haven't changed since the 60's except they have gotten worse and the product will only be further diluted. The problems last year where fixtures were squeezed into a Siberian Spring or crammed into September with Summer months empty must fundamentally change with REGULAR meetings especially when the weather is at it's best. I still feel that Wednesday or Thursday nights should be set for speedway fixtures. It's a real shame that Peterbro has dropped out as they at least provided entertaining racing but is another nail in the coffin.
Anzum
Anyone know if there is still doubling up with the PL taking priority? With NL riders at reserve covering fourth or fifth highest average rider in the team with r/r (which is where most doubling up riders are) is going to be even more of a disadvantage. More fixtures must mean more clashes.

stevebrum
“Josh and Kyle Howarth will both be riding for the club in 2014. I have also been very impressed with Kyle Newman’s achievement and improvement. I would also like to find a place for him.” Quote taken from www.Bournemouthecho.co.uk/sport on 3rd October 2013!! So is it confirmed on the club website yet?! ;-)
