Robins 2014

And that's the trouble when you make assumptions! I hadn't realised I had to explain myself but just for you ... I wouldn't have a problem having Batch back as he seems to have matured this last 2 years. However, with the expected reduction in points limits I'm not sure how he would fit in the team. Also, as has been well documented, we aren't rolling in money so best for Patch to keep his hand in his pocket - or maybe another year's loan - just like PUK was allowed to do

Is Patch still involved? or likely to be involved in 2014? Not having a dig, just asking...!?

I wonder if Rick Frost accepts Monopoly money? - with Swindon Speedway being on the Monopoly board now that's the only money he's getting

They've introduced a new Swindon players' piece haven't they? Mickey mouse wearing purple kevlars.

Not so Mickey Mouse that they made the play-offs though  Actually the new Swindon players' piece is a panther wearing purple kevlars - to recognise your assets' contributions

Does anyone think the robins will stay in the Elite league next year especially without sky. My understanding is that they would look to join the premier league with Leicester joining the elite league in their place.

I certainly hope so as had enough of Elite League speedway.

A top 2 of Doyley & Nick would be a good start to a team as well.

Agree with that Robin, i have had anough of the EL also but if the Robins are forced down they're are other clubs alot more in the mire than the Robins.

That's the beauty of having friends in low places. They assist with your team building and Poole didn't see you as a threat so didn't need to bother the BSPA further. Excellent contribution from our purple boys at Wimborne Road for the ex-champions, a combined score of less than Poole's best reserve! Knew that they wouldn't let us down :D

Not sure that Patch is still involved. In the Poole 1st leg programme, Terry Russel says that he is looking for another promoter to assist Rosco whilst he will remain as Director of Speedway. It would appear that Patch has left the club!

Ah so that's why Jim Lynch has reappeared at a couple of tracks in the past fortnight!!!

I had heard that and, if true (which it seems to be) then I wish him all the very best.

Nothing wrong with Jim Lynch imo. Good bloke.

If it is true, why the 'cloak and dagger' approach again? Just tell us fans what is happening....

Why break the habit of a lifetime?

Terry Russell announced a few seasons ago that he was looking to sell his stake, but now appears back on the scene.
