stevebrum
I wonder which one is Stevebrum and Gavan.. I`m the same with Steve S/internetman et al/starman2006, its the same stuff recycled. It is debatable whether we are stronger with rohan but it would be good to have him back and 7 riders is usually a good thing. He has been with us all season and has has some good meetings. Don`t think it is debatable at all. Monday night proved you are way stronger without him.
OGT
I have a feeling that Poole's generally superior gating allied with their impressive team riding will see them through over 2 legs. It's been a great year for Birmingham, but unless they're firing on all cylinders, then it's the Pirates' to lose, IMO.
LagutaRacingFan
Isn't it great to see the two Team GB managers in the Elite league final? Just reassures me that at least we have the best team managers for Team GB and possibly in the future, We could be challenging for a major trophy.
Tom Turner
As much as I desperately want to see the Pirates put on another brilliant display like last night over the next 2 legs, I cannot help but wonder if the same incentive will be there to win... Excuse me for being a cynic but I cannot help but feel that the financial incentive of a grand final at Poole may of influenced the Pirate's pay roll last night. Now that there is no further money to be made after the 1st leg I cannot see the Pirate's being paid quite as much as last night some how. I'll await the attack from my fellow Pirate fans! LagutaRacingFan
Not when he rides like he did last night, he may get injured alot but he certainly gives 100 per cent I meant running with 6 riders with THJ in the side is a risk as there's a chance you could end up being down to 5 as THJ is crash prone. Yes but at the moment josh and thj are riding better than rohan was before his injury so we are stronger as a 6 man team

uk_martin
It's not been a bad old year has it? We've knocked Wolves out of the Play-Off's, Coventry are wooden Spoonists. Local pride has been satisfied. Now the Brummies are flying the flag for everyone north of Wimborne Minster, west of Lytchett Minster, East of Parkstone and south of Brownsea Island. I'm sure that the team will do their best and whatever the result, against all the odds, and against "the establishment", it's a proud time to be a Brummie. It'll be an uphill, herculean task to beat the Pirates, and I'm sure that there will be some "fun and games" along the way. I just hope that everyone not dressed in blue black and white can keep the faith that sometimes, just occasionally the "David's" do sleigh the "Goliath's".

Ill be there but its way to expensive. I don't know of any track that has a guaranteed seat but i haven't been to them all. You can usually get a seat at Poole if you get there early, don't bother myself as i prefer to stand. Don't think the prices are too bad, most tracks charge at least 2.50 for a programme, so a adult with programme for 20 quid is reasonable i would say and 45 quid for a family means you get one child in for free. Not sure about last year but a couple of years ago it was 20 quid plus programme, every year some moan about the prices but the stadium is always packed so it doesn't put many off. SteveLyric2
Normal admission at Poole is £17, with a programme £3, so no increase in price really. In fact if the programme is going to priced at £4 like Brummies, then it will be effectively £1 cheaper than for a usual meeting!!
ytsejam
Don't think anyone can really complain about those prices for the FINAL of the "plays off" at all. Look at the stupid prices that people pay for the farcical GP at Cardiff?

In fact if the programme is going to priced at £4 like Brummies, then it will be effectively £1 cheaper than for a usual meeting!! I believe the price is far to expensive, kids under 15 sould always be free. As a bonus to the fans the play offs should be cheaper than a normal meeting. This is one of my vices with speedway and the main reason crowds are down everywhere. Whatever the price Poole will still WIN though

Whatever the price Poole will still WIN though Agreed. Why is it the obvious answers are never good enough... It is obvious there isn't nearly enough young people getting interested in speedway so why rob the few that already attend? If you made it free until 18 not only would you get much bigger crowds but you'll also get a lot of paying adults in a few years time. But no, we charge them instead and wonder why speedway is on the decline. I wouldn't attend a play off final for any more than £15. It should be cheaper in the play offs, not more expensive. Instead, I will sit at home and watch it on Sky as it won't cost me any extra, I won't need a programme, I'll get free commentary and multiple angles and replays. david2905
The prices when you consider a free programme is chucked in are pretty reasonable to me considering it's a final, anyone who's been fortunate enough to go to Wembley with their football club will know the prices here are anything but a ripoff. Birmingham is normally £16 in and £2.50 for a programme, £20 for both for a final is hardly extortion.
