Poole V Birmingham 1st Leg Grand Final

Recommended Posts

Barker will of course ride. Morris couldn't guest anyway because of the 8 day rule.

Weather is set good. Going to be packed. Poole boys are going to be up for it but Brum will be as well. Expect a great battle and some great racing.

I think we will need at least a 14 point lead to take to Brum for the second leg but would be reasonably happy with 10+. Anything less and Brum will be clear favourites.

Whats the 8-day rule got to do with anything?? Barker is not at number 1 is he? so no guest allowed, unless someone else in the 1-5 is also missing?!

Are you expecting Shov to be knowledgeable about Speedway as well, his knowledge is in stirring. :t:

And for your information if Brum win I will be in the stadium and happy to congratulate them on their win. No probs at all.

And hopefully a match report to reflect that win bit like the one you failed to do in 2010

Not called for i agree. But there are certain Poole fans who do that all the time.

Thank god for the ignore button.

Come on Steve, 99% of our posts, Drivel whatever you want to call it is Banter. Thats not. There's a difference.

Someone has to stand up to you and Shovlar. You quote rules yet abuse the spirit of a forum constantly. Someone has to stand up to the pair of you and I am quite beyond caring about the consequences.

Your posts are very boring. I remember a few years ago you could make a few points about the sport but reading some of your posts over the past year it seems to me that you have a downer on the sport and anyone who enjoys their racing has obviously got a problem because all is wrong yadda yadda yadda. The spat you had on the GP threads proves this although I didn't have any inclination to get involved. Why don't you and a few of the others who like to moan about all things speedway start a new forum? www.boringspeedwaytalk.co.uk is available.

Well I have thoroughly enjoyed my speedway this year, as I will the next, and the year after that if I am alive. There will be league speedway and I will be there to cheer on the Pirates through it. I will not be tied down by miserable gits trying to be clever but not having the savvy to recognise a bit of banter. I pity you and the others of the same ilk. Must lead quite sad lives.

Tonight again I enjoyed the speedway. Tai is World Champion, Darcy thrilled us and the final was also excellent. And on Monday I can watch Darcy and Greg at Wimborne Road. While you and others carry on with the woe is us, I shall be loving the action.

Up The Pirates!

So, back to the thread - how many Brit riders do we think will be on show Monday? 3, 4, 5 or 6??

I hope Darcy and Greg bring along the bikes they used tonight!

So we got through unscathed and I don't think any of them are riding tomorrow, are they? We should both be full strength. Really looking forward to what should be two very close and exciting meetings.

I don't normally find hypocrisy amusing, but in this case, I just had to make a very pleasant exception

The excitement and anticipation of the meeting has already started to kick in and as always, may the best team win.

Lets hope Ward and Hancock bring the form from torun to Poole Monday night. Hi Ho !!!!

Lets hope so. Ward being passed in a semi final again and Hancock geting overtaken in the final. Would be great to see Poole get so close only to lose it in the last couple of heats like Greg and Darcy did last night

I was responding to someone else, so what my post had to do with you I have no idea. I don't know you so how can I call you a mate? Have we ever met?

However, if you have given up on your team and speedway, well that's your decision. If I am the reason you have given up on speedway then its certainly not me talking rubbish. But bye then.

.

Yes,we have met.17th August 2011,when you introduced yourself to myself at Wimborne Rd. ;)

First visit to Poole for a speedway meeting and have to say I was well impressed.Best trip I've had away all season in the EL.Incredibly warm welcome from the Poole faithful(including the one and only Mr Shovlar).

Terrific performance from Brum who just wouldn't give up.What more can you ask for. Each and every rider gave their damnest and we thoroughly deserved our point in the narrow defeat.Spoke to many Poole supporters earlier who thought we were the best away team to visit Wimborne Rd this season.KKs pass on Noddy in heat 15 to secure the point will live long in the memory.

Special big thank yous to SS,Pirate Nick,Shaleshifter,Kyle Newman and Co.and the Brum 1-7 for making it a very special evening down in Dorset. Can't wait to visit you next season  The trip home was a very buoyant one too!

Oh yes and............

Nice to meet the Brum fans who made the tri. Blue Jam, UK Martin and the rest of the bunch. Pretty sure they enjoyed their evening and are now zooming back up north full of joy after gaining a point.

If Poole lose then it will be 1 of 2 things from th forum troll

1. A disappearing act (like 2010 and early this season when Poole were struggling)

2. A match report that will highlight how unlucky Poole were and a herioc effort and referee cost us blah blah blah

Im still waiting for his reply to how he reckoned the winner of Poole v Swindon would win the whole thing but yet now Poole are underdogs! He is comedy gold
