salty
No Tungate will give Poole an advantage tonight. Josh to get 7 rides and THJ 5, gives them a nice boost.

Pirates Of Poole
I would agree it makes us slightly stronger, my only concern is Newman will have 4 rides which will make us weaker in 4 heats.
Steve Shovlar
so boring you say it in 2 different posts.  You stated  1. However wins out of Poole and Swindon will win the Grand Final 2. You then state Birmingham are favourites in your eyes so that means you think they will win 3. Now although underdogs you think Poole will win.  Make your mind up and stop writing contradictory posts.   Nothing contradictory at all about my posts. You just don't seem to be able to understand.  As a Poole fans I believe Poole can do this against the team that finished top. I have never said I think Birmingham will win. You are making it up to suit your flawed argument. i believe as underdogs Poole can win.  Is that clear enough? You really are making yourself look silly with your rants. Gavan
Well here we are. No one expected us to get this far. I am still laughing to myself at Stevebrums posts. he just didn't have a clue. "The also rans, the lightweights". LOL! Â And where's Gavan? His ban is surely over now. Or has he gone AWOL, only to re-appear if we lose to Brum in the final? He has been slating Poole all season. Probably gone into a self imposed exile or topped himself after heat 14 last night. Â So Pirates go into the final against the best team in the Elite league this season. Brum have been tremendous all season and against all the odds kept the same 1-7. They have maintained momentum and deservedly finished top of the league. They easily brushed aside a very poor injury hit Wolves team and now it is all down to 2 meetings. Â Pirates scrapped into the playoffs and battled past Swindon to setup a great looking final. I don't for one minute go with the bookies on this one and see Brum as favourites for the title. Their strength throughout the 1-7 is far stronger than Poole. as proved throughout the season where they haven't been hammered at all. Why should that happen suddenly next Monday? Â Definately Brums to lose. And the great thing about it is that us Poole fans can't actually believe we have got through to the final! That alone is a remarkable acheivement and means this season has been a brilliant success win or lose over the two legs. Â Whatever the result, (and obviously I want to see Poole win it) I hope the two meetings are very exciting nail biting encounters played out in decent weather in front of two massive crowds. A fitting way to end what has been an enjoyable season. Â oops! no you didnt think Birmingham would win here did you? Â Nothing contradictory at all about my posts. You just don't seem to be able to understand. Â As a Poole fans I believe Poole can do this against the team that finished top. I have never said I think Birmingham will win. Â Slightly stronger?? Â WAY stronger more like - you only have to look at last Monday for evidence of that!
Steve Shovlar
oops! no you didnt think Birmingham would win here did you?  erm see above  Where does it say there that I think Poole will lose? Sorry but you need to learn to read. "Brums to lose" doesn't mean I don't think Poole will win. Why not go back to page one of the forum and work through very slowly to see if you can find anything? See you in a few months.  I would agree it makes us slightly stronger, my only concern is Newman will have 4 rides which will make us weaker in 4 heats.  It is a worry and I would be suprised if Kyle got a point tonight, though I hope he will. Rather have Mickey any day. Prove me wrong Kyle.
John Leslie
At least the Birmingham website hasn't gone down yet...(where are you other 26 people?)....and I notice on there that Ford is sponsoring the Birmingham leg!
Gavan
Your words as above are:  Brums to lose Their 1-7 is stronger than Pooles And you see Birmingham as favourites  Sorry its quite clear to me from the above comments that you think Poole will win!!!  You see Poole as underdogs (your opinion) Underdogs can beat the favourites we know that.  But you have stated how you feel Birminham are better than Poole but fancy Poole!!  You donrt make any sense! ABS
Poole has to hope that Josh has a good one tonight. If he is off form, the pirate ship could sink. When running R/R for one of the lower order riders, you a vulnerable, in particular when one of your reserves is, in theory, a weak link. No guarantee that THJ will win his R/R ride either. Swindon were stronger than us and we beat 'em up! Brum have a stronger 1-7 but we aim to do the same to them.  Now I just can't be fagged to explain to you anymore. Perhaps someone else will try to explain to him.
Gavan
Tungate missing means THJ (in some peoples eyes should be in the gp) can have 5 rides. When you have a rider of Jonassons quality replacing one who is basically an elite reserve riding in the main body, then you are stronger. Â Josh G who is also a better rider than Tungate can now have 7 rides. Â Newman for Dyer will hardly notice as Dyer has been shocking most weeks. Â Definatly Pooles to lose now....or will they choke

Gavan
Well you'd be the expert on choking given your teams' performance in the PL play offs  gosh we choked big time lost 3 of our top 4 and a top reserve - now that is being hit by injuries!  bit like Poole losing Ward Hancock and Thj and Josh in one meeting hardly choking!

Bagpuss
Lots of pressure on Josh G this evening, if he and THJ struggle tonight Poole are in trouble even if the top three do their stuff. SCB
Lots of pressure on Josh G this evening, if he and THJ struggle tonight Poole are in trouble even if the too there do their stuff. If I was Phil Morris i'd be sending my 1 and 2 pairing out to aim for THJ and rough him up on the first bend.
BritPete
Birmingham have been the best team all season and I hope they can be the best team in the play-offs too. I certainly hope they can put up a more spirited effort than Swindon did, although that would not be too difficult. Â I just hope they can keep it close tonight.
SteveLyric2
Great interview with Greg on Sky Sports News just now (2.45pm) live from the Poole pits - with 'the best track, the best racing, the best stadium for speedway and the best fans in the UK'!! Not me saying that, just quoting the Sky Sports News 'All Access' reporter!!!!
